Music for Valentine's Day

Is there a song that says "romance" to you? A song that you might share with your beloved on Valentine's Day, or that you hope/wish someone would share with you?

Here are two video versions of what I consider one of the most romantic songs out there, Leonard Cohen's "Dance Me to the End of Love."

I wish I knew who created they very romanticized video interpretation, but alas.... I do know that the tango sequences were taken from the movie, Scent of a Woman.

Oh I love both those songs! So romantic!

I love Chet Baker's version of My Funny Valentine. It's very moving.

Two more that my dh included in his first mixed tape gift to me way back in the late 90s. These 2 songs will always hold a fond memory in my heart. Not traditional Valentine's Day songs but romantic for us.

One song, and one song only. Martina McBride’s “Valentine.” I can’t find a version on YouTube which will let me copy and paste here ...maybe I’m just too tired (see what I did there with the Prince reference?) so perhaps some able-fingered/bodied young person could help this old girl out.

Yas!!! First note, brings tears to my eyes. It’s such a beautiful song, lyrically and musically. It’s a simple, predictable chord progression and formulaic pop song...but that’s what makes it pull them heartstrings (for me, at least!)
