I wish there was a website that told you whether or not in an action/thriller/drama/what-have-you movie that the bad guy kills the family pet. I would definitely avoid those movies. Especially if it's a gruesome depiction of the death or corpse.

I just watched "Fear" with Mark Wahlberg and wished I hadn't. :errrr: I have to give the dogs a big hug and kiss when I get home.

I agree-I'd skip them too.

If you're willing to put in some time before you watch a movie, there is a website called Kids-In-Mind.com. It has ratings for violence, language and nudity. It also briefly describes each offense. I just looked up this movie and it says "the bloody head of a dog is thrown into a house." blehch! I obviously forgot that part.

Wonderful website!
I've been using it for a couple of years now. I like that they give detail about the violence/gore, sex/nudity, etc so that you can decide for yourself if it is interesting or something you want to avoid. They've also got a pretty reasonable summary of the movie so you can decide if the plot is interesting enough to sit through a severed head

I didn't look there before Netflixing a movie recently and REALLY regretted it -- it was AWFUL (The Road?). We got about about 1/2 through and FI turned the lights on and said "okay. That's enough". Canibalism, dead bodies, body parts, sick/dead animals being eaten, etc etc etc.... :knockout: :knockout:

Don't watch Book of Eli either. I was warned beforehand, thank goodness, but it still bugged me knowing that it was there.
