There was also a pile of onyx and some pink coral necklaces.
I have absolutely no idea what to do with any of this stuff - ideas anyone.
1. Three bags worth of raw Australian sapphire - 55 carats of yellowish, 20 carats of reddish and 75 carats of blue and green.
2. Various bits of opal
3. Jade / Carnelian etc
4. Moonstone cabs
5. Various agates etc
6. Turquoise (there’s also a bag of raw turquoise)
7. Signet ring inserts (I think he’s pulled these and melted the gold from the rings)
8. The remainder of the tiny gems - tourmaline, sapphire, topaz, amythest.
9. My Swarovski snowflake tree with the 40 odd little glass vials I stuffed lots of those little gems into.

What overwhelming fun! There are some gems I'd definitely keep for myself if I were you!

You don't know what to do with them? I can fix that.

Give them to me please. =)2

Jokes aside, if you don't want to just hold onto them (I wouldn't - I'd rather enjoy them by wearing them or....) I'd set up a loupetroup account and sell them and enjoy the proceeds.

Spend the money however you want; don't save a penny of it, this may be the only time in your entire life you get "free" money so id throughly enjoy every penny.

Yes, I think I’ll put the various bits up on loupe Troop. Most of them aren’t of any use or interest to me. I’ve pulled out all the ones I like and might use, I’ll keep all the opals (love opals) but the rest, some others might enjoy/ use them. If people don’t mind paying the postage (I’m in Australia) I’m happy to pretty much give them away to fellow PSers.
I feel almost guilty paying so little for some quite nice gems AND I’ve had hours of fun too.

Whoa - the opals stash looks like fun!

I'd be curious about the rough; I'm curious to try my hand at faceting and have been on the lookout for learner rough.

LOVE the decorations on your "gemstone tree."

Maybe make stacking rings out of the different colors of tiny gems?
