Modified Brilliant??

Have seen this on a few GIA reports, either rectangular cut modified brilliant or square (all radiants). How does the Modified apply? SO CONFUSED!

They have their head in the sand.

It is quite sad that they can not call a diamond by any ''trade '' name for fear of favourtism.

The words and the scale of the images dont often mena much.
