I read, I think it was in Gary Roskins book on diamond grading, that a cleavage would have a mirror like appearance. Can you see things in it like a mirror? Or how are they referring to it?
I take it you cannot see things in a diamond like a mirror, so is it just the reflective appearance or what? Surely the whole of the diamond is reflective or it would not show all the brilliance it does though. Confused.
This isnt exactly what you were asking about, but sometimes in the right light (usually low), i can see reflections on the table of my diamond. Instead of seeing through like normal, i catch a picture on the wall or something.
Maybe if the cleavage is in a particular spot and in the right light, it will be like a mirror. And i would think it would be really tiny and hard to see things reflected.
