Freke, how cute is she? Seriously, she tries to eat everything.
packrat: I want to see some pictures of London!! Veda started some growling new sound a couple of days ago. Once she combines it with her courageous attempts to eat a stuffed bear like a snake eats a rabbit, it will be FLIP camera time. I just bought one today. Oh jeez, I need to go get it out of the trunk and read the instructions. I can''t wait for my own video and audio "giggle" file.
chrono: I''ve missed you. She is the love my life now. My poor daughter...she must now share my affection.
K, I mixed up 2 pictures-this is the growly mad looking one. The other one w/the tail you can''t see her full face. This was SO long ago! Makes me sad in a way, to see-she''s 6 now!
Yes, it''s very sad how fast they grow up! I painted London''s nails Thursday evening, and when she was getting ready for bed, she asked me if I thought this boy in her Kindergarten class would like her nails. I told her little boys don''t really notice things like that, but girls do, and then I said "Why, do you like him?" and she smiled, tilted her head down and peeked up at me and said "Yes, he''s nice" and I thought ohhhhh boy-and THEN my 6 year old says to me "Mommy, would you talk to him for me?"
It will seem like tomorrow and Veda will be heading off to Kindergarten and the next day she''ll be graduating High School.
OMG Packrat!! Boys already. Ohhhhhhhhh, I feel for you. I really do. I was glad that my daughter wore glasses and generally looked like a little geek girl. She had mini-crushes during her toddler years that were adorable.
I knew something was up when she brought her school pictures home in the 3rd grade and she didn''t have her glasses on.
Time was running out on me. She was going to bust me and ask for contacts at some point.
It''s so funny, because she loves her eyewear now. And her husband thinks she''s super hot with her glasses on because she looks like his favorite Superhero chick.
The amazing photos come from my daughter''s camera and her eye. I would like this most recent photo more if V''s eyes didn''t look like she came out of Season 2 of True Blood.
Her eyes are such a pretty blue. They remind me of my daughter''s eyes when she was a baby. Blue until she was almost two and then they turned green.
I don''t know what camera she uses. I think it''s is Nikon. It could be a Canon. I''ll have to ask her. She is a quasi-professional photographer. She does a lot of photo sessions with families/kids, boudoir/engagement/wedding stuff. Her friends keep her busy and they pay her. It''s a nice supplement to her day job. But I''m afraid that she is trying to be superwoman and that she doesn''t like to say no to requests. She is going to have to get more comfortable saying no or she is going to burn out with a new baby, being back at work, and trying to do photography. YIKES!
What''s a matter packrat, you wanting to have another baby?
The obligatory "birthday" picture of Baby V on her six month birthday. I have been in Jacksonville for the past week so I have missed her so much. I get to play with her chubby wubby legs today.
Don''t you just love the little hand dimples where her knuckles will be...or are...or whatever. Just the cutest little dimples baby hands. I love them to bits!!!
Wow. So, I decided I was going to investigate the other boards and see what was going on, make some new pals. I come here, and click on a random thread, and what an EPIC thread it has been! Seriously, whoa. You have had the most amazing life, and sound like a completely amazing person. I had so much more to say about this until the pictures of your completely adorable little granddaughter appeared, and all of them are forgotten.
I''m sorry, isn''t there some kind of law against babies being that cute?! She is so utterly squishable, my womb is screaming out at me in frustration! She looks so like you and your daughter (who is beyond gorgeous by the way. Unfair.) what a lovely little line - I''d love to see a picture of all three of you together!
Freke: Thank you. I feel sorry for boys who want to come after Baby V because her Daddy is gonna be fierce!
Packrat: I feel ya. I always wanted more babies, but it just wasn''t in my ummmm, birthplan.
Parsley: WELCOME!!!! Thank you so much for your kind words. My life is C.R.A.Z.Y, but I consider myself blessed most of the time. Except for the times that I am not in fight or flight mode, which is pretty much most of time. You are going to PS...the people are awesome and the ones that aren''t...well, they are amusing. ::::wink, wink::::::
DRUMROLL: Baby V got her first tooth and learned how to wave to Gramma last week. The cuteness is killllllllling me. She is so adorably cranky that I just want to squeeze her little guts out. I could have been babysitting tonight, but I am totally committed to losing this sympathetic pregnancy weight gain by my 50th B-day next month. OMG, can I just say that Boxing Gyms are brutal extreme fitness torture chambers!! I have also begun a major love affair with sugar-free Jello, although I am convinced that the fake food coloring is going to kill me.
I like a bit of craziness in my life - I feel like I''ve learnt a lot from all the crazy bits! Don''t like them at the time though. Not at all.
I''ve actually been here a little while, but have only really been in LIW. That''s now all so...not where I should be at the moment, that I thought I''d branch out and have fun on the boards!
Parsley, I wish you the best of luck over in LIW. I visited that thread a few times and ran away. Maybe that is because I am old and prefer to be unmarried. But I get super excited once y''all get engaged because then I can watch you over in the Bride thread.
Okay it''s time to see Baby V (Her nickname is Bug) and her glorious TEEFERS!!!!
Miracles, Baby V is UNREAL!!!! what an incredibly sweet beeeeauty you have on your hands there! (really does look so much like you and your daughter--who are both gorgeous, obviously!)
You must absolutely love every moment with that baby!
Hi Ladies!!!! I miss all of you. I have been occupied with a relationship that has been ridiculously insane. I might have to post under a new id just to get the feedback and kick in the pants that I think I need. But aside from that, I haven't been provided with many new pictures of Ms. Veda. My daughter owes me some. I will see her tonight and I did just post two photo in Famiy, Home and Health in the Newborn to 12 months thread. Do we still have to rename them to repost them?
In any event, I promise to get some updated photos soon. Veda looks exactly like her Daddy's baby pictures. Nothing like her Momma's. Hopefully she will look like both of them as she ages.
I sure miss everyone here. I am glad to be back among the PS'ers and have some projects I need to get moving on...like my lotus setting ring and a pendent.....and I am almost....DRUMROLL.........finally done with the bathroom remodel!!! That only took almost 3 years. Well, two years of nothing being done. But I might be taking a bath in my own home within the next 30 days and that makes me sooooooooooo happy.
Okay, okay, okay!! I have a few pictures. I've been having a rough Saturn/Mars-Moon opposition these few months. I can't wait until it's completely over by September. It only happens once every 32 years, so thank gawd for that.
Here's a picture of Veda Clapping at the fair. She is totally clap-happy now. She claps at herself when she has done something. It's adorable.
