Pics pics pics!!!!!

I need ''em now.

They are downloading. I took pics of my shoes and my daughter''s. I really should have gotten a picture of her friend Jessica''s shoes because they were TDF. I never spent so much time double sticking fabric to breasts so their dresses (I use that term loosely because I would be wearing them as shirts) wouldn''t open up and show the world their Tata''s. The MOH was in a full boot because she broke her ankle after the bridal shower a few weeks ago. She had crutches but for the most part we used a wheelchair for her. We had a mini-bus that took us everywhere and then a limo on the last night after we left the "Thunder from Down Under "show. I don''t even want to know what they did last night after I finally got to leave to go to the airport. My flight was delayed by two hours, so we sat around reviewing and laughing at everyone''s pictures from the camera''s.

I think the most fun was on Saturday night when my daughter''s closest friends who had the adjoining suite, were all just sitting around and getting loud and crazy. At one point, my daughter''s friend who lives in Vegas and is getting married in October started razzing me and she is a black belt in karate, so when she said she was going to kick my butt, I started pulling out my Tae Bo moves and throwing fake punches but I accidently hit her when she put her hand out and nailed her straight on into her acrylic nail and it starting bleeding everywhere. She was being a drama queen and we had to get her to keep her hand above her heart to stop it and she kept calling everyone to tell them I beat her up and made her bleed. It was hysterical. She walked around with her arm held up over her head for like an hour. We were all busting up at her. It was good times. I bangaged her up, but that thing was still bleeding the next day.

I can''t wait to hear how about the helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon that they did today. I am sure she had an amazing time. I am going to try to call her now.

My darling bride to be...not a good shot of the black veil though....But couldn''t resist the cheesy "Thunder from Down Under" tiara....

Your daughter''s bachelorette party sounds like such a blast! I took a pole dancing class when I was in college and loved it--so much fun. I do remember lots of bruises, though.

Can''t wait to see the pics!!!

My new shoes, but OMG, you should have seen how nasty my toes looked before I shrink the picture. I seriously should have had a pedicure before I left...blech...

Sooooo needed a pedicure.jpg

We were posting at the same time! I guess I should have said "the REST of the pics"

My daughter''s shoes the second night. I should have gotten pictures of her shoes on Friday night...they were awesome. I didn''t get into the she thing until the second night and then everyone was telling me to stop because most of them didn''t have time for pedicure and though I was a freak for taking shoe pictures. Only me and my daughter knew about my friend Freke''s shoe fetish.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!Your daughter knows about me and my shoe *issues* huh???

Lmao!!!

Anyway, I love the shoes! And your daughter''s veil! Keep those pics comin''!!!!

(I don''t mind gross feet-you should see mine when I''ve been slacking on the PedEgg...)

Yep, I outted you a while back.

She knows how many pair you have. She was

, where does she keep them all?

I jave to get permission to post other pics from the girls. I don''t think any of them would have a problem with it, except for one of them, and I can paint on her face.
9.gif

I have to load this into my apple laptop and then email to my desktop, resize and then post...I just lost an email with three good ones. So, I will finish tomorrow. Besides, my camera is the worst and the other girls have the best photos with the better cameras. One of them sent me an email today with "pics" as the subject but nothing attached or no links... Boo. I wrote her back. I think the one who doesn''t want her pics got to her to tell her she wanted to choose which we could have. Drama....
I told her that every picture of her in the wedding was fair game, so she can''t censor any of those.

Oh, well, I should really get some sleep. I have my vestibular therapy at 8 a.m.. I swear I should have never gotten so twisted and up and under my daughters dress at the fitting before last, because with positional vertigo, that was just the thing that set it off. It''s much better now, but I still have it. I need it gone before the wedding.

I''ll post more tomorrow. Toss us some PS dust because we have the "final" (I pray) fitting tomorrow. I doubt it though. We will probably have one more.

LMAO! I can''t wait to see more pics!!!

yay, I was waiting for your Vegas report over at BWW, but it was here! I think I want to hire you as a security guard at my wedding just in case

For negotiations too.

Okay, so we were going to talk about what happened with her Dad. Well, we got married when my daughter was almost one year old. I really wanted her last name. And because she knows I did that, she is not giving up her last name when she is married and she is not hyphenating either. She is doing this because she wants us to both go through our whole lives connected by our last names. When she told me that...I cried. It was such a moving moment for me.

After her Dad and I got married, it wasn''t all a piece of cake. When you find out the day before your wedding that your FI has been hanging out late at night with a girl co-worker, it tends to mar your day. Within a few weeks after the wedding, I discovered the reason why he was hanging out with this girl. They got into drugs. He got into a lot of destructive drugs that just took over his life. Apparently this girl had been his source and they spent time together in order to do drugs. I had a new baby to raise and I wasn''t about to put up with a druggie. I was working as a waitress and one night I came home and my baby was on the floor while he was asleep on the couch. I went just a little ballastic. He had fallen asleep with her on the couch and she fell off and he didn''t even wake up. We started fighting a lot because he was being so unresponsible and one night I came home and he was on the phone with that girl from work. I could even hear her voice. I vaguely remember pulling the phone cord from the wall and trying to wrap it around his neck. I told him to get out. I was preoccupied with my daughters upcoming eye surgery. My daughter was about 18 months old when she had to undergo eye muscle surgery. I was stressed about that and just wanted to make sure that her astigmitism was being taken care of. In the meantime, I had switched jobs and was on my way to completing my certification so that I could get a better paying job. My car was a piece of junk and I had to put water in it every time I had to drive her to school, then park my car far away from my work parking lot because I didn''t want anyone to see me in that wreak, exspecially because I had to put water in the radiator before I went anywhere. I was finally able to buy a newer used car and continued to do what I could in terms of increasing my income so that I could support us. There were times it was a little rough. I would call my Mom and ask her if she had gone grocery shopping and if she had, I would go over to her house and grab some mac and cheese and other food items. We lived on fish sticks, macaroni and cheese and canned green beans. At one point, her Dad was living in a car in the parking lot and I felt pity on him one night because he was freezing so I let him in and he fell asleep next to the floor heater because he was so cold, and the next thing I know, I am smelling a burning blanket. I had to chatise him and kick him off of the floor furnace and onto the couch. I told him he had to go. I just couldn''t raise my daughter with his bad influence.

Then it got worse. He ended up getting my brother addicted to drugs. I had to orchestrate a full on intervention and get my brother admitted to a mental health/detox center when he was 17 yrs old. Against his wlll and I tricked him to the house while I had the police, 4 point restraints and a van waiting to admit him into a locked unit. The eerie part was when I was finally allowed to visit him, he had taken on the mannerisms of my husband and I was freaked out. At that point, I knew that I had to get her Dad out of our life for good. I moved and never left a forwarding address, hoping he wouldn''t find us. I have filed for divorce twice, but due to a ridiculous court system, I find that I am still legally married. But i have a court date on August 4th and with any luck at all, I will be divorced from the schmuck my Dad hated so much that he refused to attend my wedding or give me away.

We have no idea where he is. I did look up some criminal cases and don''t know if he was ever in jail for an extended period of time, but I couldn''t find him to serve him the divorce papers. So, twice now, I have had to post them in a paper and do a summons by publication. It''s a pain and adds a lot of expense, but I just can''t wait to be divorced after all these years. But he did produce a great looking daughter for me...and for that I am grateful. I don''t think I really wanted to be married anyway. I still don''t know that I want to be married, but I guess if I found the right man, that I would in a heartbeat. With a pre-nup....unless he makes more than me.

So that''s the story of the deadbeat Dad. Oh, he once wrote me a check for $150 and I deposited it and proceeded to write checks for bills. Yeahhhhhhhh, the check bounced and I not only had the checks rejected, but I had to pay the bounced check fees. Suffice it to say, it was easier to never rely on anything he ever said or did.

So , that''s the story of the deadbeat Dad. Although we did see him when my daughter was nine. He had two other kids that had been taken away from him by CPS because the babies tested for meth amphetimine when they were born. I think it took him 11 months for them to get the kids back. My daughter was thrilled to know that she had two little half sisters and a brother, but the family was too dysfunctional to even begin a relationship with any of them. My daughter and I were in a pretty stable place and I was making a decent living, so we just plugged on.....

Wow...that sounds rough....

Yeah, for awhile it was a tumultuous time in my life. Seems like I have a lot of those, but they have been balanced by a lot of fortunate times.

I am still waiting for more pictures from the other girls. I don''t like any of the pictures of me from Vegas so I''m not posting them...blech. I don''t like my dark hair. I miss my blonde. And I need a hair cut in a big way, but we are waiting until the day of the wedding when they do my hair.

I couldn''t sleep last night, so I just decided not to try anymore and start figuring out what I am going to say at the wedding. It''s time to start figuring out what to do with my dress and write the host speech. Ugh....

Miracles-

I''m reading this a little late but it''s a great story, thanks for sharing it with us!

I love this pics of you and your daughter in matching Chargers shirts and the ones with Chargers stocking hats. Did you go to the Christmas Eve game last season? My family was all there.....but errr we had silly orange and blue hats on....yes we were cheering for the other team, but I will say the Chargers deserved to win that one. I LOVED SD while we were there and can''t wait to visit again soon!

Wow...I guess it''s sort of a blessing that you don''t know where he is. Once the divorce is settled, you don''t want to go back to your maiden name? And make your daughter take over the name as well?
3.gif
Must have been tough, having to be a mother and a father figure to your daughter. Not to mention you have to let her go...I can just imagine you two sobbing on the wedding day!

My mom and sister already made me promise that I won''t make them speak, so I won''t be having speeches at all.
20.gif
How long is your speech going to be? My friend''s dad had an essay prepared, but he got so emotional that he ended up only speaking for a few seconds and sat down. I''ll bet you will be a blast!

I don''t know if I already posted this, but I found out a few weeks ago that my daughter is keeping our last name. She is not hyphenating, she is just going to keep it with her new married name. She said she is doing this, because the main reason I followed through on the marriage with her Dad was because I didn''t want to go through life without the same last name as my daughter. So sweet of her. So I guess that means I have to keep my same last name now, and if I do ever get married, I will do the same thing so that the two of us will always, not matter what, share the same last name. Isn''t that awesome?!?!?! It was a lovely little surprise that I never even thought she would think about...I sure didn''t. Before I knew she was going to do this, I was considering changing back to my maiden name since she would be married with another last name. I thought it would be a fresh start, but now...no way...after that touching thought from my daughter, we will both be keeping our last name until our death. It makes me get a warm and fuzzy feeling all over.

Me and my daughter love the crap out of each other.

That is really cool.

Oh yeah, I have had season tickets forever. I don''t miss a game. The only game I missed in the last three seasons was because I had to attend a funeral. Other than that, I never miss a game. I have great seats that are underneath an overhang in the west end zone staring at the jumbotron. That means that rain or shine I am always covered in shade. I don''t think I could take it being in the sun. I am a football princess. [/i]

Here''s one picture from the Vegas party while half of us were waiting for the other half of the girls to arrive as we were going to go to our Stripper 101 class. Most of us still bear the bruises on our shins from trying to perform the fireman on the pole....lol. Classic class acts.

Miracles!!!You''re so tiny! How tall are you?

5''4 and 3/4 so I just say 5''5''''. I''m average. I didn''t feel tiny today while I was trying to get some inserts sewn into my dress. The dress I am weaing to my daughter''s wedding is a cheap Cache dress and my waist is too small...well my whole back and chest is too small for my much wider hips. This lady I was sent to was awesome. I received a whacked out bolero from Canada that was sewn really oddly and when I lifted my arms it winged out, so she sewed up the top of it while I was in in and it helped it a lot and even gave it a little gather up around the back of my neck. She didn''t charge me for that. I paid her $10 bucks anyway. She charged me ten bucks for the inserts and her other seamstress took my dress home tonight to sew halter straps out of black chiffon that match the bottom of the dress. She is going to make them one inch thick and tie up around the back of my neck so we can really hoist the dress up to the proper place. She is going to make them really long and the ends will be wider so that when I take my bolero off the thicker tie pieces will sway down my back. Total cost: $35 bucks. I was stunned. And they spent at least two hours with me while we tried several options. If my daughter''s fitting doesn''t go well tomorrow, I am taking the dress and bringing it to this lady. She rocks.

I''m expecting pics tomorrow night. Of her dress (like usual), but feel free to take a pic of your dress.
31.gif

Oh yeah, you can expect pics. Lot''s of them. My dress won''t be ready for pickup until Saturday morning, but I am trying to find some lace trim that matches the bolero to put across the top. We thought about taking it from the bottom of the back of the bolero, but it wouldn''t have looked right because it doesn''t sit and stay close to my body when I move my arms. So I will try to find something similiar this weekend.

Oh crap, I forgot I have my last vertigo treatment tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. I guess I better get my body to bed now. I''m not tired though. Blech, I hope the white noise machine puts me to sleep.

Sweet Dreams!! Pray for the dress god to work some magic.

*holding my breath for results...* But yay for a seamstress you can trust!

Oh, but first....
Since we are all talking weddings, this thread just wouldn''t be complete with a picture of my rocking wedding pose. Don''t you just dig the baby''s breath???

miracleswedding.jpg

I think you look beautiful.

Minus the baby''s breath.

Well, since my hair was so couture in that wedding photo, it pales in comparison to this Glamour Shot..
lolololol

GlamourShots we are the Judds heyyyy.jpg

Ahahahaha, I was probably telling the girl....
