Mint garnets are rare in sizes above 2 carats, but I personally think that''s kind of high for the saturation of color on that stone. Maybe it''s nicer in person. For $900/ct, I would expect top color, or near top color in a mint garnet of that size. I do know that the people that own the rough are charging high prices for it though, and it is difficult to get decent shapes out of the way the rough is shaped. There can be many factors involved when pricing a cut gem.

It isn’t off center. The camera captured a picture of the stone at an angle, hence the center looks off centered, but it really isn’t. You can tell by looking at the outline of the stone.
I just saw this stone and ran over here to post it, just to find it has already been discovered! I''m wondering if the symmetry is affected by the angle of the photo. The color is scrumptuous!
