Millgrain...is this something to worry about?

Hi guys!

I was given this beautiful eternity stacker for my 25th bday from my husband a couple of months ago and I am enjoying wearing it with my engagement ring instead of my plain platinum band. However, my er is low set and I am concerned about it rubbing on the tiny millgrain surrounding the stones of the eternity band. Should I be concerned about this or do you think it is not going to be a problem. Both rings are platinum, for reference.
I know you guys will be able to help me out!

Thanks in advance,

Katie ;)

There is the possibility of the milgraining wearing down over time from rubbing on the e-ring. You could get a thin spacer band to put I between the two and solve that issue.

thanks for the reply! i may just have to do that, i love some of the spacers i have seen on here

I know what you mean, I have been fighting the urge to buy some spacers to stack with my e-ring and w-band. I love the look of them and the functionality.

I got a very very low profile diamond eternity band where the the edges of the diamonds don't touch anything that I LOVE as a spacer. But I really like some of the etsy ones I've seen around here that are .75mm

that sounds really pretty! that's another option i may try, i have a pretty thin diamond eternity that would look pretty good i think. i also really like the ones on etsy, especially the rose gold ones..

Yes. The eternity is WG between two platinum rings. The thread is over on SMTR if you want to check it out.

btw, I LOVE your new band.

I loved that idea a lot! i found a wg band with some diamonds that my husband gave me for my birthday last year and i think it looks great! as soon as ps will let me load the picture i will post. please let me know if you guys think it looks good :)

Also...
How wide is your current platinum wedding band? Could you wear that as a type of spacer?? I have a friend who wears 3 bands... a solitaire, an eternity and a solid band... and it looks awesome!

Just a thought!
Beautiful ring, btw!!

also, thanks so much for the compliment about my new band :)

that is true! my wedding band is 2 mm although my fingersnare short haha i will try it out and see how that looks. thanks for the reply!

I'm wearing a 8 stone, my original YG WB as a spacer, then my 3 stone. I like the look and the YG just feels 'warm' with all that white action on the diamonds! (its also saving the setting - those diamond girdles are pretty brutal on the 3 stone metal...)
