Okay,

I''m recovering from a finger surgery where I had my ligament reattached.
Since my rings had to be cut off, I''m rewarding myself by having my ering reset.

I''m choosing a split shank design to simulate my old eternity band and e-ring,
(please excuse all typos. pain killers and pecking at the keys don''t mix.)

ANYOOO... point is, I''ve fallen MADLY in love with this danhov setting from James Allen.
It is SO expensive, but so perfect. Does anyone know anyone who has this setting, or experience with this setting?
JA has another split shank that is similar, but something aoub the way this one is set really WOWs me.

Also, does anyone have experience with sending their diamond to JA to be set? Any and all JA stories will help me.

Annie

did I post in the wrong place?
Or is this just not a setting that people have experience with?

i don't know of any pricescopers who own that danhov setting. I would recommend sending your stone to JA and then having them send it to danhov to make the setting. as far as i know, the danhov owners on this forum have been pleased with the quality. i have never seen a danhov setting in person to give you my personal opinion though.

ETA: you can do a search on JA for other consumer experiences. they are well respected here though and I wouldn't be worried about shipping my stone to them.

Thanks a TON Mrs.Salvo!
Guess I''m pretty excited AND super impatient.
I just figured out how to do a search (slow learner.)
That will really be a helpful tool.

I love the first setting you posted!! They are both beautiful but the halo on the first appeals to me more!

lol,
I love that one too. I think it''s because the center stone is around 4 carats!
But that''s totally the ONE I love.
I''m working with a .90 stone.
I hope that it makes my heart melt as much.

One thing about that first one is the side view.
I love how the stone is "lifted" and not lost in the halo.

The other James Allen setting (which costs about HALF as much as the danhov)
has a profile like this.
It''s still lovely...but...

Love Love Love the first one soooo much better. It''s more unique. The halos seem to be the "in thing" right now, and this one is different. BTW hope you have a speedy recovery.
