Hi to everyone,

Hopefully, someone can shed some light on the following question:

I am looking to have a custom ring designed and it will have 24-28 melees (1.75 mm each) in the design.

One designer wants to use these types melees and I am wondering how they would compared to ACA melees.

Tiffany quality- F-G
color, VS clarity, and excellent cut

Can anyone give me their best estimate as to which melees would perform better?

THanks

ACA is E/F, I think.

As long as it's well-cut, you aren't going to see a difference.

I''m not sure that the color of melee is critically important. My FI has a J color ACA center and the wedding band is channel-set ACA melee.

I can''t see a difference in the color although I''m not all that color-sensitive.

Not sure if that helps, but I hope so.

!.75 mm. round melee should be around 0.02 carats each...
I seriously doubt anyone can visualize a difference between ACA and a good decent cut.

Color is important and noticeable... more important colorless!!!!
