Personally, I dont buy into the flourescence decreasing the value of a stone. Actually, the blue makes it even more beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As Wink Jones stated that Flourescence was treasured 30-40 years ago, but now it is not.Date: 5/18/2007 12:42:16 PM

Hi everyone
How much does medium blue fluorescence decrease value of a D color diamond? Or does it matter? Thanks for your input

If you pay the same amount for a strong blue D-VVS as non, who's been sold?Date: 5/18/2007 9:23:26 PM

The rap sheet is a sales tool.
Exactly. Take advantage of the trade preference for non-fluorescent stones and save some money since there's usually no negative visual impact. My point is that I'm not sure anyone answered the orignal question, what is a typical discount for D color medium blue, presumably if comparing two otherwise identical stones. Of course there are always exceptions to average.Date: 5/18/2007 11:07:52 PM

Elmo, i think whatis saying that if you are buying a diamond for the sake of it, not for a re-sale/trade, fuoro-discount is 'good for you'.
