I appreciate everyone''s help lately. I just have another question about the cut of a diamond and/or the measurements of it? Is there any relation?

I would like to understand how the measurement of a diamond effects it''s sparkle/scintillation or is good enough just picking an ideal or excellent cut?

I''m looking at cushions and the depth % as well as the total measurements are all different from Cushion to cushion even if they are rated the same cut. should I be concerned with this? Everything I have been told is to look for a diamond that is not too Shallow or too deep because it effects the refraction of light. Is that only for a round diamond?

Can I assume that to get a good cut (No matter what the measurements are) I need to Pick an Ideal or Excellent cut?

I would like to ask all of the Cushion Experts out there are these numbers in range for a Cushion cut Diamond??

Cut: Very Good
Depth %: 67.4%
Table %: 59%
Symmetry: Very good
Polish: Very good
Girdle: Thin
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 7.92 x 6.60 x 4.45 mm
Ratio: 1.20

Thanks everyone for your patience and all of your answers!!!

For round diamonds, it''s quite easy to look at the numbers and have a basic idea of whether it will be a well-performing stone. However, for cushions it''s a great deal harder and number don''t provide all the information you need.

The numbers so far look promising, but with cushions it''s best to have pictures of the stone and an asset image. Can you ask the vendor for these?
