Hi everyone, I've been a member on PS for several years now, however not very active. I've recently decided to start following the action here. I must say i am amazed how many good and caring people there are here. Well let me introduce myself. I am one of the founders of Ice.com and recently purchased Diamond.com. Prior to that i ran several Diamond companies.First Canadian Diamond in Montreal Canada, where I live. FCD was the first diamond cutting factory in Canada to cut Canadian Diamonds. Before that I started Y&M diamond in NY, which was the selling arm for Transvaal Diamond, one of the largest Diamond cutting factories in South Africa at the time. Before that I worked for my Father in Law who owned Transvaal Diamonds, first as a Cutter, then a sorter, then a gemologist, finally i was at the helm of a diamond cutting factory with over 500 cutters. I was the youngest De Beers sight holder at the time (23). When the ties turned in SA around 1992 I decided to move back to montreal and start my own business. The experience in SA was invaluable. I learned everything from mining to polishing. ( my Father in Law had his hand in many Diamond business's at the time). Today I live in Montreal, I am the president of my company, my brother the CEO ( only because he is older) and I am grateful to G-D to have my beautiful family, my wife and 8 kids. Yes 8, 2 boys 17-15 and 6 girls 12-10-8-6-4-3. I hope that i can be a resource here on PS. Please feel free to ask me any questions about anything in the Diamond business, can't promise the right answer, but i sure have my opinions.
