Oh my, that's the funniest thing I've read in a while!! Sending to my mom momentarily! She can text, but somehow thinks that if you remove all vowels from words, it is the same as "text speak" and I can understand what the heck she is trying to say! It is hilarious! My favorite was "bk" which stood for blanket! HUH!?b

I haven't used any of those (yet ) but you should learn to text if you don't. You don't have to text the whole world and all your BFF. You don't have to text while driving. You don't have to text while people are trying to have a conversation with you. I text SO everyday and three other people (almost never, I don't want to pay for it). It's a very useful tool. It gives you another option besides calling and email. It lets the person know you have something to tell them easier than email (you can set you email to do that, but who wants a buzzer for email going off all the time) and it avoids calling people or them calling you when you can't talk.
