Hi everyone!

I''ve been quiet on the forum lately, but have been checking in a lot....especially as of lately! Can''t seem to stay away

Anyhoo, I''m on the prowl again for more sparklies, this time for the matching pendant and earrings of my ring!

A little history, for those who don''t know me. I have a ''thing'' for D/IFs with blue fluorescence (especially strong), which is what the diamond is in my engagement ring. I want to follow the same theme with the matching pieces, but am having a hard time deciding on the size. I have until January 2008 to decide (they need to be set our April 2008 wedding!) so I have a bit of time. But why not start now!

Here are a few pictures of my ring: Click here!
I have attached the picture of the set by Gelin Abaci below....

Now the question is, what do you think is a good size for the pendant? What about the earrings?
Minimum the earrings can take is .25 and the pendants cut off is .50, but can get away with anything with similar dimensions to a half caret.
GOG has found a lovely .46 diamond with medium fluoro, and I am wondering if I should wait a bit longer to see if a strong becomes available?
I hate decisions!

I was thinking to stick around the .25 size for the earrings, but now I''m wondering if around .35 would be better?! I want them to stand out, but I don''t like them too big. I''ve had a look at peoples diamond studs online but am still unsure, as they are a different style....so....any input?

Thanks everyone! Off to look at more of your sparklies now....holy addiction!

StarSpun - I dont'' have much to offer in terms of earrings.. But I wanted to say that your ring is one of my all-time favourites! These earrings are gorgeous, I''m looking forward to seeing what you find.

For diamond studs.. I like either reeeeeally small, like .25 tcw. or reeeeeeally big like 3ctw. So I would vote for the smaller size. Not much help I know.

Since those are not going to be solitaire studs and pendant, you can definitely get away with smaller stones. The settings have a lot of presence and the diamonds are accents. I''d say just under .5 for the pendant and .25-.30 for the earrings will be great! I would not worry about the amount of floro unless you work in an environment with black lights a lot! D color is really special, though!

Cool earrings!! Since your e-ring is a .55 if I remember correctly, maybe .25 in each ear and .4-.5 for a pendant? I wouldn''t want to go much larger to keep things in proportion to your e-ring.

Wow, those earrings are gorgeous

Thank you girls! For the nice comments and the advice! Yup, gonna go with the .25s for the earrings, and might hold up for a stronger fluoro in the half caret size:-)

You guys rock!

I always say bigger is better! If you think the .50 will be to big I would go in the middle, you don''t want to be disappointed.

Lucky girl!!!

By the way, I love your ring. I just know looked at the pics of your e-ring and I agree with everyone. go smaller with the earrings and a little larger with the necklace.
You don''t want to take a way from your ring!!

What type of band are you going to have?

I won''t be much help, but I just had to say that I LOVE your ring, and the pendant and earrings are amazing too!
I can''t wait to see pictures of the finished products!!

PS Do you have any photos of your ring in black light? I looove blue fluorescence!

Thanks poshpepper:-) I do love it!

gbeaton81....the band issue is still driving me bonkers. There is a matching one for the ring, but not sure if it would look right being worn alone! I want to do the matching thing with Bryan, but up until now, neither of us could decide on a ''theme''. The most recent development is him getting the celtic one we both like, and then I can move my e-ring to my right hand and wear a matching band on the left. And since I like bling, I was thinking about an east to west set marquise with celtic engraving to match his on the sides. A weird idea I know, but I don''t mind too much....it just means I get to have more sparklies!

There is actually a very similar design I like on the site, but I don''t know who has it! I think I''ll be making a separate post for this issue now....LOL!

Hehe thanks so much! I LOVE fluoro too! I don''t have pics in the UV light (I know, what the heck!), but I think I will soon, and post it up for sure!
