@elizat how did these turn out in person? I found myself thinking about the blue color today of these!

Quite pretty. Very silver pastel. I would not have liked them at the full retail price, I don't think, though, as they are an off color. But I think they will work well for the project. Going next to a crystal opal and will be in a cuff/bangle.

OK I got my order finally today.

First up is a pear shaped heliodor.

It's glowy!

It sparkles too! The other pink stone is a spinel. It outsparkles the spinel!

I also got two parcels of demantoid melee. I braved some handshots with the little critters.

Left column is USSR origin, right column is Namibian.

In real life I can see a bit more of a difference and I slightly favour the Namibian but I'm glad I bought the USSR ones too. I have 30 of each. These are so cute and sweet and happy looking! I have other melee but none that are as cute and adorable as these little ones. The problem is they are so cute that I don't want to use them now. I was meaning to use them for various earrings and rings but I don't wanna use these up!

I also received a chrysoprase cab as a gift which I forgot to take pictures of. I'm really happy with the haul as it's rare for me to love or even like everything I buy in terms of colored stones these days. Now I'm thinking I should have bought more!

Oh I forgot to add, the pink spinel is not from Master Cuts. I'm putting it in an earring and was just wearing it around the house to see how it shifts compared to others stones that will be a part of the same piece. However I was surprised to see the heliodor outsparkle the spinel.

Yes, I'm surprised the heliodor sparkles so much!

I'm thinking of doing a "lemonade" combo with a yellow chrysoberyl and a pink Mahenge spinel, but much smaller than those two stones that you showcased!

The heliodor throws off rainbow sparkles I was really surprised because I had only seen aquamarine and morganite before and they didn't show any dispersion. If anybody likes pale yellow and pale greenish yellow, Dana still has some more that look similar.

Yellow chrysoberyl and pink Mahenge spinel is a terrific combo. You have a great eye for color and a knack for pairing things together so I'm sure you'll come up with something spectacular. Smaller is actually better I think! With multi-gem pieces I think the sizes that fit into Yvonne's standard designs are a perfect sweet spot. I thought I liked 7mm minimum, 8mm+ preferred, but I don't really enjoy finished rings with big stones. I actually think 6mm is a good daily size now. The spinel is 7mm, and I think it's too big for drop earrings, would have preferred 5mm.
