So I''m thinking of purchasing a pair of Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby shoes for my wedding next year and I''m just curious to see what sort of interest there might be if I decided to sell them after the wedding. So I guess my questions are:

Would you be interested in buying them?

What would be the max you''d pay for them?

Here''s a link to the shoes:

Hudson I''m sure you''d get lots of bids for those on eBay or similar sites!

Just a note on the sizing cos I noticed the default size on the link came up as 38.5/8.5. I usually take an 8.5 in US sizes but I am most definitely a 39 in European sizes. A 38.5 would not fit. The size conversion on that site is a bit off I think.

Gorgeous shoes, I want to wear them on my big day too

I tried the silver non-satin ones on at Saks yesterday and they run a bit big. I'm between a 7.5 and an 8 (37.5 and 38) in the silver ones, but I take a 8-8.5 in other shoes. I've heard that the satin ones run even larger because of the flex in the fabric.

You have it all sussed! Will you get them in the blue?

I want those shoes SO badly - so if your wedding was before mine and I had the budget, I''d DEFINITELY buy them from you. . . my wedding''s in 3 weeks, though and I already have shoes. Not Manolos though. ::Sigh::

I need to hit the lottery!

I have those shoes in two colours-they definitely run small so I wouldn''t worry too much on the sizing. I''d say there would be a lot of interest if you sold them on ebay afterwards.

Hudson, to answer your original questions:

1) No. Even if they were the right size, I don''t wear heels that high anymore.
2) Not anywhere near what they are worth. Even for my wedding I would never spend that much on shoes.

Too bad your foot size is bigger than mine b/c I''d consider it if you bought blue! Being the shoe freak that I am, I bought those in the raspberry color, just because, since I don''t know if it''ll work with my wedding dress...I have a huge weakness for shoes...

Depending on the condition and how many times you''ve worn it...I''d pay something in the $400 + range for mint condition. If it goes into the $500 range, I''d probably consider just buying it new. I don''t know what e-bay bidders are bidding for, though.

I''d probably pay about $350 tops for them. Otherwise, I''d just buy them new. I like my shoes new though. (And I can wear an 8.)

Lovely color, and totally worth the price. IMHO.

The silver ones alone are going for $800-900 on Ebay. That''s absurd to me considering they''re only $675 to begin with. I''ve never spent this much on shoes or even a handbag so this is totally new to me and SCARY! But I do love them so. The other problem is that I''m not sure I could comit to selling them after. I mean, they''d be my first and only pair of manolos that I wore on my wedding day. Talk about sentimental value. *sigh* Maybe if money drops out of the sky or I win the lottery....

I got the silver pair for my wedding. I paid the normal retail price. I''m totally keeping them though, they''re manolo''s! And silver sedaraby''s go with lots of things and look amazing on.

I recently purchased the Sedaraby''s and had the same thought as you...that I will probably sell them afterwards because I typically don''t wear heels, and don''t lead the lifestyle where I could wear them again (maybe for special occassions, but still). I''m still unsure what I''m going to do with my pair after we get married next week.

Too bad your feet are bigger than mine, anyone with a 6???

Hudson, other companies are making a lot of replicas. I actually bought a silver pair from Aldo that is very similar, only a bit more modern looking. I can take some pictures if you want to see them on or anything.

At least it''s a cheaper option right?

I think if I bought some and wore them to my wedding, I don''t think I could get rid of them afterwards.

If you really like the look, I saw these on a blog

Pelle Moda Nemo. They come in different colors if you search

Ugh! I''m the worst person to ask, I just bought a pair of Jimmy Choos full price for my wedding shoes (still waiting for them to clear customs....darn, things are going sloooow), so I''d probably splurge on them, especially if you want the silver ones.

Are you set on the idea of the Sedaraby style? Have you seen the Catalina? Also open-toe d''orsay style, but I don''t know how "avant garde" you want to be on your wedding day; because the Catalina''s have a feather detail across the vamp...but they''re a beautiful design, if you think you like the feather thing!

I know I am not helping much when I simply say that I am in LOVE with that shoe. I don''t even wear heels!!!

You sure you can''t find any other additional uses for them after the wedding...even snazzing up a pair of jeans some night??

I think if you buy ''em you are going to get attached to them so if you want to get them I''d say splurge assuming you won''t get any part of your $$ back. Then, if you do decide to sell them on e-bay after the wedding it''s a little bonus.

Hudson-Dyeables makes a shoe that looks VERY similar. I WAS going to buy them in silver for me but decided against it. I am thinking about having my BM get the dyeables for their dresses. Here''s the link click me!

I''m seriously considering getting them for myself too!

I have to say used shoes kinda of gross me out. Someone sweated in them and molded them to their foot, and while you might have only worn your for a night, you never know. Vintage clothes I would buy but I would not likely want worn shoes, it is just a thing to me that feels funky.
