I purchased this garnet from Litnon/Gemline a few years back, and set it in a 14K gold head. I put a chain through the head and wore it as a slider pendant. I like the look, very sparkly, with diamond-like rainbow sparkles, but I haven't worn it in a long time. It's 7.4 mm x 4.9 mm, 1.89 carat, from Mali. Mali garnets were a huge hit on Pricescope a few years back, because of their diamond-like refraction. It's a light yellowish green, and shifts to more like a fancy yellow diamond in fluorescent light. I think a good bench jeweler can open the prongs, solder the head to a band, and you'd have a fairly simple ring. Or it could be soldered to a chain. Or you could just wear it as is, while you plan something spectacular. :)

I ship with signature required. Please feel free to ask any questions! :wavey: :wavey: Price of $189 includes free shipping!

Do you have any pics of this on a chain? Does it flop

Here it is on my awful neck. ::) It rarely flops, only when you're moving around a lot, but it quickly rights itself. That's what I liked about my little system; it was easy to wear.

The setting is a typical 4 prong basket. When you slide it onto a chain, you put the chain through one section. The weight of the other 3 sections and your chest holds it nicely upright. I don't know how to explain it, so here's a pic. The opening is pretty huge, I'm thinking a wide chain would fit easily. If you google 4 prong basket setting, there's a lot better pictures out there.

Cut is really very nice, no windows, very sparkly round brilliant, if that helps to know.

As always, I am happy to take offers from PSers, don't be shy! :wavey:

Reduced to $119, including free shipping! :wavey:

The 14K head costs $40+, shipping is $5, so the stone is only $74! :appl: :appl:

Wow, such a pretty stone at a great price! I am really trying hard not to buy anything or I would just cave...that is a big AND round Mali, looks very well cut...someone needs to snap this up!!

Thanks, Katharath! :wavey: It is very nicely cut, super sparkly. A few years ago, I asked Michael at Litnon/Gemline for a well cut, precision stone and he said he didn't have anything at the moment, but a package was coming in and he had high hopes. When he received it, this is what he suggested. It's well below half price now.
