How did your wedding go? Any pics you can share yet?

Thought I''d bump this thread in case Maggie hasn''t seen it...

Maggie, I''d love to hear how your day went!

Honestly, there were so many elements of the wedding that were laughably bad, I haven''t felt like reliving them! I will give you one highlight. The plan was, after the ceremony was over, golf carts would come to the chapel, pick up all the children, take them back to our rented home (onsite), where nannies would take care of them until our adult reception was over. Sister-in-law went back with the kids in one golf cart and found out that nannies didn''t show, so she was stuck in the home with the children, we couldn''t walk into our reception. To make a long story much shorter - we were walking around the resort with the catering coordinator asking random employees if anyone was licensed to work with children and offering money to them to go to the house so that we could enter our own fricking reception. That was probably the worst thing, but there were many, many others. Such as the fact that I had pink eye all week (although in all fairness, it did go away before the ceremony!)

Anyway, I''m a firm believer in all''s well that ends well, and all ended well:) We actually have some great pictures. I will try to get hubby to help me post some soon.

Well here is one pic from my favorite part of the week - the sunset wine cruise. THAT was awesome. It was so beautiful and relaxing. (I do have more pics but this is the only one I came across that was small enough!) I''m on the right, my best friend Ann is on the left.

Maggie, I''m sorry to hear the nannies didn''t show up. I have to say, though, based on those photos your wedding was a fabulous event and everyone looked like they had a wonderful time!

I loved

Congrats again and best wishes on a long and happy life together.

Wow, how''d ya do that, Tyler''s wife? I guess I just didn''t think that people would want to sit through all the pics in the slideshow, so I was just going to post a few individual shots. I think that the photographer was amazing though. If anyone wants to just go straight to it, you can just type www.maggieandgardner.com.

Thanks CDN:) Did you see the little girl with the red pacifier playing in my flower petals as we''re saying our vows? That''s another story too. A bad one. Let''s just say that I haven''t watched the video yet. Gardner and I are thinking by our first anniversary we''ll be ready . . .

There were a lot of magical, beautiful moments and I am married to, bar none, the most wonderful man in the world. I could not be happier.

MaggieB: It''s magic! LOL

No, I''m having my wedding there and I remember you telling us earlier who your photographer was. Since so few brides post about their weddings there, whenever I hear of somone I try to stalk the photographers sight so that I can confirm my ideas or get them.

Who did your makeup?
Was the service as good as you expected it to be? (For what it cost... I hope so)
The home you rented looked like the one on VRBO. Was it as nice as they avertised?

I personally thought your wedding was very pretty. If there were tons of disasters, people would never know from looking at your photos:)

My makeup artist was Lanie from the spa - I thought she was great. No offense to you Lanie, but it''s probably not an expense I would do again because it was beyond pricey in my opinion, and I think I do my own makeup pretty good. However, I got a facial from her that weekend and I''d spend that money again in a heartbeat.

The service was incredible.

The home I stayed in was the nicest house I''ve ever been in in my life. If I can get my hubby to help me with pics, I''ll try to show you more of the house. STAY IN A COTTAGE AFTER YOU GET MARRIED. The fireplace, the steam shower . . . unbelievably romantic. We plan to go back every year, as long as we remain employed:)

There were a ton of disasters. I''m not kidding. None the fault of the resort.

I used Sue Burden for my flowers and people RAVED. There was a man there that owns an event planning company in St. Louis, and he said that the reception table and the flowers were among the best setups he''s ever seen.

I think the two biggest hits of my wedding were the gift bags and the placecard boxes with Norman Love chocolates.

I''m also using Sue for my flowers. I was initially shocked by my quote... I didn''t want to be at 2k. But, after seeing your pictures I think I''m going to go lighter on the rose petals because I really thought that it looked very romantic.

Did you order your linens yourself? Sue mentioned that the ladies at P. Bluff would be able to help me in this area... it''s just so hard not living there and trying to do everything from a distance.

I need a videographer. Would you be willing to share who he is?
Also your officiant... I''m starting to worry about my officiant. I put down a deposit but the more I talk to him, the more flaky he sounds. To me the ceremony is the most important part of the day... and i''m starting to worry that maybe I didnt make the right choice here.

Chris Teves, a classical guitarist is doing my ceremony music... I can''t wait to June.. hopefully it will go by fast

what a beautiful bride you were and a beautiful wedding! Congrats!

Thank CBS:)

Now that the link is out, I would really rather have it at the end of My Wedding Thread so that everyone following it can see how it turned out. Does anyone know if there is a way to reactivate and old thread?

Beautiful pictures! It looked like a relaxing and romantic wedding. Even if the truth was that there were a lot of disasters that day you totally couldn''t tell on your faces. Congrats!

Hey Tylerswife, I replied back last night, and I just got on the thread again and it didn''t post. Weird.

Anyway, are you doing your reception in the main hall or in the wine cellar? Specialty linens are going to drive your budget WAY up. We wanted to use them because with such a small space, it''s harder to make a look in my opinion. I''ve seen quite a few weddings done upstairs with just the regular hotel linens that I thought looked beautiful.

My videographer was my one few thing! He was a close family friend.

What kind of officiant are you looking for? I really liked mine. He made our ceremony pretty religious, but we wanted a religious ceremony.

I love the idea of a classical guitarist!

Maggie, WOW. Everything was GORGEOUS, especially you! I love your dress and your hair was great-simple but beautiful. Congratulations!!!

The officiant we chose recently mentioned that he''d rather our ceremony not be "to religious". In a haste to choose someone and focusing on price without interviewing well, we ended up in a situation where we are willing to walk away from the deposit to find the right person. We''d rather work off of a recommendation of someone who used a person rather than just a brief phone interview again. But, if you''d rather not share, that''s okay. I''m sure we''ll find someone:)

Tylerswife, I am happy to share the name of our officiant. Let me ask you a question. Did you get the big 20 someodd page list of their recommended vendors? He was on that. There were quite a few ministers on there and I asked our event coordinator from Palmetto Bluff who her favorite was (they attend all of the weddings so they''ve seen a lot!) She told me Dr. John Miller. His phone number is on that list, or if you can''t find it there, try looking up The Church Without Walls. If neither of those options helps you find him, let me know and I will try to search for his number.

Good luck:)

Hi Tylerswife! Just checking to see if you were able to find Dr. Miller''s contact info in your vendor packet from Palmetto Bluff?
