I read this article on it in the Times and I actually thought it was kind of nice. I mean, some of the people buying had friends who lost money in Madoff and still have money, so they''re showing support. I would be a little weirded out to have some big piece of furniture in my house that was his, though. Maybe its the idea in this article that one guy says that its like having something from the Titanic. Creepy, but accurate.

That someone paid 15k for the Madoff Mets jacket is beyond me. To me that is something that you can only have for curiosity value. Other things I understand.
