I'm so excited to finally get to share my new ring here! First, we are indebted to this community for pushing us through bling college in a short 6 months. Whether it was the questions asked by other novices that we never would have thought to ask, or the sage advice of Charmy, Rhino, Dreamer and scores of others, we evolved from clueless to discerning rather quickly. There might be a monster in the making! Like many others out there, we looked at literally hundreds of cushions, even making near disaster purchases, before finding a lovely stone. For other newcomers, when the advisers say that you can't read a cushion by the numbers, we're can attest to that! I love the community of AVC lovers out there, and hopefully I'll join you someday, but for our e-ring, we found a (perfect to us) cushion brilliant 4-main. I liked the thin 8-mains too, but none we found in our range compared to the 4-main we fell for. For the setting, I've never been more inspired by a ring than when I saw Haven's creation. That ring gave me the courage to think outside the box, so thank you, Haven. I also loved Rock of Love, Reggies JM and DC 87s milgrained bezel. We presented so many ideas to our artist, the amazing Dana Walden Chin of Dana Walden Jewelry, and Dana and his wife Radika were able prioritize our wish list so that I was not frankensteining a ring but making something balanced and beautiful, hand to stone. The .27 AVRs that we purchased from GOG just didn't work as sides to this particular main stone (despite my really really wanting those gorgeous little gems) and I appreciate Dana and Rad's artistic vision. I don't see their custom work here on PS but I highly recommend them. So without further delay, we present Lulu.
