In case anyone is interested, as seen in Jeff White's latest Gem Scoop maildrop, as big as 18ct finished stones, and I have already sent him an e-mail to enquire. :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

This is a pic of a selection of the roughs he has, and the colour I love are the roughs highlighted in yellow.

I would like one big enough to be a ringdant, so 18ct sounds about right! :lol-2:

OR, I could have a suite of smaller stones for a statement Art Deco inspired bracelet, however, each stone will be billed separately.

Decision, decision!

You and Jeff have had so many incredible collaborations! I can't wait to see what you two come up with here!! :kiss2:

I have worked with him since 2015, and had met him in person back in 2023 at Tucson, and believe we have built up a good rapport over the years.

Now, after seeing the Aquas, I would forget about getting a Paraiba Tourmaline cabochon, as what I could afford in a small Paraiba would probably get me a Jumbo Aquamarine!

Been researching Art Deco Aquamarine bracelets, and I would need at least 3 x 5-6ct as a bangle for the top half only in oval shape, so that it sits on the wrist without rotating.

Still to be decided as a ringdant will get more wear than a bangle bracelet.

I have not been this excited about CSs since the sub-40ct blue/green Tourmaline that he has cut for me. The Katlang Topaz is nice, however, a Jumbo Aquamarine is much nicer! :lol-2:

Hehe well you kinda know what an 18ct ringdant might look like!

Are you thinking of bracelet or bangle?

Whatever that does not turn so that I do not bang the Aquas against a table! :lol-2:

So, bangle at the top and a bracelet underneath, if you know what I mean.

Question I have to ask myself - do I need another big CS pendant when I have the sub-40ct blue green Tourmaline as a brooch-pendant already? :lol-2:

Jeff W responded indicating it is more likely to be one big stone rather than a suite of smaller matching ones.

Ringdant it will be then!

Update from Jeff W, there is a suitable rough that could yield two EC finished stones, not matching in size.

The larger one could be as large as 16ct when cut.

I have the option to have both, or just the larger of the two.

I am definitely getting the larger stone to be set as a ringdant.

Not sure if I would like another EC Aquamarine as I already have a 6ct+ one from him that I love. Hence I have not said a definitive 'no' to the smaller stone as it depends on its size and how much it would cost. It can be set as a statement bangle bracelet on its own! :kiss2:

Here are Jeff's videos of the Aquamarine rough that he had selected for me.

The first is the whole rough, and half way through, he used his fingers to block the chunk that he would saw off as a smaller piece.

The second video is the same rough in two pieces, the large one is mine that would cut to 10 to 16ct as an EC, and the smaller one would cut to 3 to 4.7ct also in EC.

I love the colour and the clarity of the roughs!

Woohoo! Can't wait to see it finished!!
