I got the .97 H/VS2 OEC from Ari at Singlestone, and it was love at first site! YAY!!

First up...the Tacori I originally liked:

Out of the ones you posted, I love the third the best!
 
I like 1, 3 & 4. The second one down doesn''t appeal to me. The side diamonds seem a bit of an odd distraction from the center diamond.

For #3, think it''d work on my somewhat modest .97ct? The stone in the pic is like a 2 carat job. I know it''d be scaled down, but...what do you think?

Honestly, I think I need one of each. That would solve my problem.

Thing is, you really need all the Singlestone rings sent, to get a true comparison...I wonder if he would do that?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I really need to see all the rings side by side to compare. I don''t feel like I can ask him to do that, though. Or am I being silly?

I think my current top contenders are #1 and #3. I''ve never seen a halo with a tapered shank IRL, so not sure how that''ll look on my mitts. I''m so used to seeing teeny-tiny bands.
 
I understand feeling funny asking, but then, I''m sure he would understand why you were asking. It can''t hurt, all he could do is say no.

Singlestone doesn''t sell Tacori, though. Do you know if Tacori sends their retailers samples, and if so, if retailers are ever willing to send to customers? This is all new to me.

That I don''t know. Are you not near a Tacori dealer?
 
The closest is about three hours away, which is do-able, but tricky as I have a six month-old and a three year-old and work parttime. Hmmmmmmmmm...

) I agree that you should try on as many as possible. That said, I am a huge fan of setting #6 - I think it will accent your beautiful OEC nicely and still let it be the star of the show!

Congrats on your new OEC! I vote setting #1, although ALL of them are gorgeous. I had a chance to visit Singlestone in LA a while back and FWIW, you can''t go wrong with a Singlestone setting. They are just gorgeous. Ari ain''t so bad himself!

Yay! I''m so glad you loved the stone. I just had a feeling you would - the pics never do OEC''s justice :)

Ari has my OMC and I''ll be choosing one of his settings as well. I love all of his stuff! I have tried on some Tacori''s in person (not these styles, though) and found them all to be very super dainty - even the ones I expected to be chunkier. It''s hard to tell from the pics, so if you''re going to shell out that much cash for a Tacori (they are spendy!) I would suggest seeing them in person first.

Last weekend I tried on a 1 carat RB set in a halo and was stunned at how HUGE it looked! A halo will definitely make your OEC look much larger - is that what you want? If so, go for a halo, if not, then choose something simpler. It made me realize that I could never pull off a halo for my stone (2.09 carat) - the effect would be too big for my comfort level. But I felt a halo on a 1 carat was just perfect :)
