I''m not going to spoil anything, becuase I''ve stayed off of the internet/Lost forums since Saturday because of the premiere on the beach in Waikiki, but OMG, I hear this episode is like drinking from the firehose in terms of answers to longstanding questions.

And, just want to add that I've watched every episode b/c dh and I got the most of the seasons from Netflix. You pretty much gotta watch it from the start to make sense of it.

Love this show. I thought it was a pretty good season opener, but not as good as last season''s finale!! I was pretty confused for most of the episode - then again, I think that''s part of why I love the show so much.

That scene between Juliet and Sawyer had me crying.

I want to know what the people at the Temple wanted to talk to Jack about.

Locke-body-inhabitor is sooooo creepy.

I watched last night, DH loves it and I always get him the season on DVD once it comes out.

I thought there were WAY too many commercials! It''s so frustrating. Plus we always have to pause it and discuss it because like everyone else we are confused most of the time.

Last night after I went to bed I thought about how everyone wants the time on the island to never have happened and I was thinking that almost everyone got what they wanted or needed by crashing there.

Jack got to finally be the best doctor
Sawyer made peace and was able to have a fufilling relationship without it being a con
Kate was free
Jin and Sun fixed thier marriage
Hurley wasnt treated differently because he was a millionaire
Locke was able to do his "walk about"

It just seems like the major characters had a better life on the island than they would have had if they didn''t crash. Just my thoughts.

I read a blog today that talked about a theory for this season and that it''s based on choices. The losties will be challenged with choosing their own destiny, be that going back to real life at the same place they were prior to the crash (problems, character flaws), but being in civilization with family and friends, or staying on the island and living with the good things (Locke walking, Kate getting free, Jack being a hero) but getting no real world recognition for any of it.

We DVRed it so there was about 45 minutes recorded before we started. Being able to fast forward through the commercials helped.

Jack has really aged. I thought Matthew Fox was around my age (37), but I just checked and he''s 43.

I definitely thought Locke was making that up. When he was getting off the plane, the look on his face looked so sad and dejected.

Locke seemed like he was trying to be positive for the people around him. I think he was making up the "walk about" but they didn''t really give any details to know for sure.

Sun & Jin still seemed to be having problems in their relationship too. Maybe not as bad, but he did have all that money she didn''t know about. Also, she seemed to know English still (but unwilling to let people know).

As soon as Sayid woke up, my FI immediately said "It must be Jacob!". I also think this is a strong possibility!

I wonder if there will be struggle between "Locke" and "Sayid". I still think it is up for debate whether Jacob is really the "good" entity...

Should be an excellent season!

I think that the plane ride is the "what if" version of the bomb going off and everything re-setting. There were a ton of things that were similar to the first plane ride but just a bit "off" and different this time.

I read that this season''s narrative structure is these "sideways" flashes. So both narratives are happening or at least possible- at least as of now, there is no one choice. So I think the plane narrative is going to show us how things are different if the plane didn''t crash, yet how many things will still be the same, especially in terms of connections.

I personally think that Juliet "saw" the other possibility and that''s how she knew it worked. Her comment about going out for coffee? I think we will see Juliet and Sawyer "meet" in the plane narrative and this is the conversation they will have. At first I was confused as to why we needed to see Juliet die a second time- for me it lessened the emotional impact of her first death. But the more I think about it, the more I think her last words to Sawyer were necessary.

Loved the underwater shot of the island.
Loved the scene b/w plane Jack and plane Locke.
Loved the scene with Boone and Locke where Locke is talking wistfully about his walkabout.
Loved Hurley stepping up in the leader role.

Not sure about Sayid being reborn as Jacob. My first instinct is no, but it would make a lot of sense, especially with all of the resurrection imagery. And then it will be Fake Locke versus New Sayid???? Awesome.
