Looking to buy!

I am looking for a yellow gold and platinum engagement ring in art deco style. I would prefer a round stone, approx .50 carat plus. I like designs with small diamonds in the shank but I'm open minded and looking for suggestions - a solitaire would also be fine. My finger is an L I believe! Hope you can help! An old mine cut diamond would be a bonus!

I agree, that is a very well cut and beautiful old cut with a lab report! You could set it yourself into a style you want.

The one on DB is pretty much right on budget, then! What do you think about it? (It's larger than you asked about and the setting is a different color so maybe it's not at all what you had in mind, but it is pretty.)

I was asking where you live because I thought from your mention of ring size that you were in the UK or Europe or Australia. There's a vendor in the UK who handles lots of antique rings.

I'm sure someone will come up with some suggestions. I may have some later today but I need to do something about getting to work in a little while!

This one looks like it may go for a good price but I can't tell much from the photos. No returns, though. It's OEC rather than mine cut:

40 pt. center, but right setting and it has some side diamonds. Center looks dark in a couple of photos, but could be camera reflection. Maybe some of the experts will chime in. Return policy, pretty ring. Price is way under budget:
