Hi all,

I am new to the site and let me start off with compliments to all the beautiful rings I have seen so far. Someday, I hope to show off my e-ring here..someday :) For now, I am looking for an eternity ring, which is commonly used as a wedding band. Ideally, I would love to get the Tiffany Metro ring but the mark up is just too much for me to handle. It's the only ring of its type that I love in person.

As I can't afford the Metro ring, I've been looking around a few websites but I have no idea what I'm getting myself into...Any suggestions?

Here is my leading contender, looks very nice and at a very reasonable price!

Does anybody own the same one and is willing to share some real life photos?

I was also looking at the James Allen, though it is slightly bigger (1.5 mm versus the Eternity Diamond's and Tiffany's 1.2 mm).

Hi and welcome! :wavey:

I haven't seen the ring you linked in person but it looks lovely and is a good price. What quality diamonds do they use?

You can also try Facets (thefacetscollection.com) and ID Jewelry (idjewelryonline.com) - I have an eternity from IDJ.

There's lots of good reviews here for both companies.

ETA: I'd also email Brian Gavin (briangavindiamonds.com) and ask them if they have or can make something similar- the quality of stones they use is very very good.

That is a very nice ring. I like the simplicity of eternity rings. It is just that I'd be afraid of losing stones, active as I am.

Another way of expressing what you want to express with it is using the ∞ sign and have it engraved inside—for the ring bearer to know. Then they can have on the outside what they might otherwise want.

That is a pretty ring. I guess it all depends on what kind of style you like - shared prong, u-prong, channel set, bezel, etc. and what shape of stones you prefer. I personally prefer bezel set eternity bands (and have one myself) but you may not like that style. If you give us some more ideas of what you like I'm sure we can find some beautiful pieces for you to choose from. :wink2:

LAlove: According to the website, the diamonds are approx .40 ctw with a minimum color of G-H, Minimum clarity SI1, has Rhodium and is 18k white gold. I browsed through the 3 websites you suggested and found one I liked. The 18K WHITE GOLD ROUND CUT ANTIQUE STYLE ETERNITY BAND from IDJ is close to what I am looking for..I have to call in and ask for the width though 

Rno: Yes, what I love most is the simplicity and timelessness of the rings  I am also quite active and have considered the half instead of a full diamond eternity ring. But I am so much more drawn to the full one so I will stick with that  Will just have to be more careful I guess.

Lil Misfit: I love your bezel style eternity ring, though for myself I prefer the common prong. I must admit, prefer a very thin ring for the everyday wear. I would prefer round brilliant cut diamonds but the websites sometimes are not very specific.

Ideally, I would love a full diamond eternity ring ( either 18k or platinum). The width is one of the most important things. I am looking for 1.0 – 1.2 mm…I know it’s thin! And of course, the higher quality diamonds, the better! Most importantly, I am looking for a great deal/find!

I am concerned about the prices. I don’t get the variation. Should I be right to think that the more expensive the higher quality? Here are my leading contenders, please note the difference in prices:

diamondseeker2006 & mrssalvo: Yes, I am well aware of the risks of getting a thin band. Thanks for the link, funny I had already briefly read through the post. Yes, I get it, too thin of a ring is considered swimming in unsafe waters but have you looked at the rings I have posted? This is the type of ring I want...I'm afraid 2mm and + will just be too wide for me. And will be over my budget..please help me in finding the ring I want from a reliable dealer :)

Hi Joeternity,

I also went through the long process of looking for a perfect eternity ring, and I wanted something very thin and dainty. I was also concerned about going so thin and having soemthing that would be far too delicate. I ended up getting my band from ID Jewelry and I could not be more happy. It is the Round cut diamond eternity band in 18K white gold if you want to refer to the website. It is very thin about 1.8/1.9 which now that I have it is just about as thin as I would be comfortable with. It sparkles like crazy and ID jewelry was very helpful. I had such a good experience with them that I actually just placed another order for a round/baguette alterntating diamond band that I am anxiously awaiting. ;-)

Here is the link to the band. I hope this helps and best of luck on your search!!!!!!
