Hi All,
I'm looking for my proposal stone and have come across this - GIA 6261666223
I've seen the stone in person and it looks wonderful - eye clean. I've visited a number of dealers in the Toronto area and this one seems to be great value. I'm just concerned with the Table @ 60%. I understand from my research this is not ideal.
Do the other proportions help to compensate for this or would you experts stay away from this stone?
Your input is very much appreciated.

The stone is a 60/60 style diamond. They generally return more white light than fire. When they have a low crown angle, as this does as 33.5, that fire is further reduced. A crown below 34.5 will also make the diamond flat on top, which may or may not be an aesthetic issue for some. But, there are not generalization about proportions or 60/60 diamonds. You need to see an ASET image or Idealscope image to see if this works to produce light return. If your vendor won't offer one, you can buy your own scope (see link at end). I do really like the LGF at 75% as the arrows will be "chubby" and that increases contrast, which I especially like with 60/60 diamonds. Doing an online check, it looks like this would be $12300-12600 usd online.

The inclusion plot looks goo and twinning whips, while hotly debated, are generally a "good" type of inclusion in that they are generally pretty hard to see in every angle (unlike a feather that is usually visible from all angles). They are not good in some cases as they can cause light dispersion from some angles. So, they stone needs to be physically viewed to see if they are ok or cause light to disperse.

Quoting trade member @John Pollard "60-60s with robust light-return and a nice contrast pattern can produce great scintillation; it just takes on a different character than a Tolk or transitional cut. This is because the typical 60-60 has longer lower-halves and a shallower crown than those others. The dispersive fans will be smaller, but if the diamond has robust angles and good cut consistency you'll see more overall scintillation events. In short, you may see less colored-flashes (smaller fans) but the character of abundant rapid flashes in performance can be just as robust in frequency and effect."
