Table: 73.0%

Both look like nice Princess but not of top cut quality, looking at the photo for the second one and the ASET I prefer the first.

The spots in the centre could be inclusions however these might not be visible in reality, best to ask the vendor or one of their staff to inspect the diamond for you, VS2 could well be eyeclean.

And the digital image:

Not good.

Not liking either of these - too much green and not enough red in the ASET. You can definitely do better!

Agreed. Here''s what you want to see. Much better. I don''t know what your budget is, so this may be out of range, but it''s a good example.

You might want to watch the video. While it does not have this exact diamond in it, it does show what a big difference there can be between 2 diamonds that both have good grades.

Thanks for the help...I''ll keep looking. I''m not necessarily looking for an AGS ideal cut but something that''s above average i suppose. From what i gather if it doesn''t have AGS ideal certification attached to it its pretty much a crap shoot as far as finding a good cut from an online search.

GIA as yet does not grade Princess for cut, there are however well cut Princess out there ( the ones above aren't badly cut rubbish diamonds, just not crafted to top standards as previously opined), the way to find the best cut are with images and photographs as you are probably aware. AGS0 cut grade will get you into the ballpark of very well cut diamonds so you could search among those or alternatively hand selected GIA Princess which have been chosen for superior beauty and optical performance. But it depends on what you want, if just a " nice make" cutwise will suit you which is not quite up to top standards, they are out there.

For a "nice make but not the best" stone, I would take a look at Whiteflash''s Expert Selection princesses. From a quick search for D-H color and IF-SI1 clarity in the 1.0-1.18 ct range, I think there are something like 5-6 diamonds to choose from. All have much better ASETs than these, but they don''t have the price tag of an AGS ideal.
