Hi

I am looking to purchase 5 Princess Cut diamonds each about 0.35ct for a 5 stone diamond ring I might get custom made as opposed to buying one made up. I would be looking at something along the lines of G colour, VS1 or a better diamond, 3.8mm square. I''m in the UK so diamonds are more expensive here, however, do have relatives who live in the USA so I could order these online.

I''ve had a look at the price comparison site on PS and noticed that there are very few diamonds with this ct....am I better ordering 5 diamonds separately or can I order 5 the same from somewhere?

Can you advise where the best place to look and give me any hints or tips to help me with my search?

Thank you.

I would start by contacting Whiteflash, Good Old Gold, or Brian Gavin. I think any of them could source your diamonds. Also I think you could comfortably go to H-I in color and eye-clean SI1 (especially with that carat size) if you wanted to save a few bucks.

ETA: I found a few that might match up well. Not all are top-notch in terms of cut, but all should be better than the average princess. You could see if JA might give you a discount for buying more than 1...? Who knows?

0.37 D/VS1
0.36 F/VVS1

0.35 F/VS1

Thanks for posting these up for me, I will have a look at them. I''m assuming that if I want 5 all to be similar I probably won''t get them exactly to match? It is a James Allan ring I wanted but they couldn''t do it in a wide enough band and can''t find another 1 like this I thought about getting it made. See attached link

Thanks again.
That is why an expert vendor who can source the diamonds for you as Jstar says, will be so useful.

Yup, buying 5 stones separately leaves the possibility of a not-exact match (though I tried to find ones with similar dimensions and faceting for you). It''s hard to say whether the subtle differences in dimensions, L:W ratio, facet patterning, etc. would be visible to the naked eye. Best to ask the people you''re buying from. Anyway, I still think it''s better to place yourself in the hands of a trusted vendor to source the stones (or even cut them for you), but I also wanted to show you a few that you could buy separately if you were interested.
