First, thank you all for this wonderful forum, it has really been invaluable!

I have been lurking around for a few months reading articles and scouring all the forums for every bit of information I can get, ever since my boyfriend brought up "the ring." He has given me carte blanche to find whatever style of setting I would like (he is going to purchase the stone). I don''t want to break his bank so platinum is out of the question. I prefer palladium to white gold since it doesn''t have to be re-plated.

I really like the old-fashioned look of a halo setting and of course checked out the Ritani Endless Love and Bella Vita and all the other similar styles of halo settings, but did not like the way they stood off the finger so far. I know this is to accomodate a wedding band to fit flush with the ring, but it''s not for me.

I found a pretty little halo that fits flush to the finger here at Knox Jewelers:

I like this style very much! Does anybody know or can find a setting like this in palladium? I have been looking everywhere to no avail. If it does not exist, does anybody know of a jeweler that can do custom work in palladium? I have read that some jewelers do not like to work with it. It does not look like Knox does any work in palladium.

Thank you for any assistance!

I know of one person who has a knox palladium setting. Call them first to make sure. If not... I know Brian Gavin Diamonds will work with Palladium, and I know Wink does not like to work with it. I don't know about Whiteflash or Quest. But if you like that EXACT setting, your best bet is just to call Knox and ask them before making any assumptions

.

Beverly K is a designer Line carried by PearlmansJewelers www.pearlmansjewelers.com that has a lot of halos that sit flush to your finger. They are well priced, good quality, and quite beautiful. I don't know if Beverly K works in Palladium, but again, it is worth the call to Pearlmans.

I know for sure that knox works in palladium because I have more than one ring from them in palladium!! I wouldn''t hesitate to ask Brian Knox for a quote.

I also inquired as to whether beverly k works in palladium and the pearlman''s folks told me that they do not. This was almost a year ago though, so best to ask yourself if you are interested.

Thank you all, I had looked over the jewelry on the Knox site and didn''t find anything in palladium, so I just assumed they didn''t work with it. Mea culpa!

I will certainly ask them, and thank you Gypsy for pointing out the Beverly K stuff on Pearlmans. Those designs are lovely!

Best wishes,
Michelle
