Hi, new member, first time poster here.
(have been reading these forums for a few weeks now though, and they have saved me quite the headaches when it comes to making a purchase for a bridal set).

Ok, pretty much, I found a bridal set at (yes, excuse my language) "zales".
Now, the bands themselves are exactly what I am looking for in this set (they go together perfectly, and the design is literally what i was aiming for).

This is regarding zales item:
ITEM #: 16284838
Picture URL:

The problem is (of course) that the diamonds are..well horrible.
The cut on the center store is horrific. The common "scuffed/spit-filled color" would best describe the white/scatch-like marks all over the rock.

So I have a few questions. :)

1) Has anyone seen this bridal ring set anywhere else with or without the center stone already mounted?

2) Does anyone know what this set from zales is ''actually worth'' ? Zales says 5700 (which is pure BS). Obviously Zales is pushing it at 3999.99 but I''ve had a friend say I could likely grab a similar set with a -slightly better diamond- for 2500ish, but I have yet to see it anywhere.

A website or a local shop would do (I''ve scouted many with no luck though thus far

I am in the California North Bay.

But the -key- is finding these bands. If zales actually sold it cheaper, I might''ve just gone that route, and swapped the center stone with a 0.50ct si2 diamond (instead of their 0.75ct I2). (obviously i will look into the cut of the replacement stone in detail, but at this point, I''m just trying to at least get the matching bands before i really worry about the center-stone).

Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated!
I''m not looking for a ''VS'' grade diamond by any means (I''m poor here lol), but the diamond that zales had was an insult to say the least. Trying to stay approx $2500 too for the price, but can stretch to as much as $4000 if it''s trully necessary. Remember, I''m poor here :)
Thanks in advance!

P.s. Yes, I am aware that zales is not the place to shop! (ripoff/poor quality/etc) However I saw the set prior to finding this webpage, and after having read numerous posts here, have been trying to locate the same rings at alternate sources but with no luck at all

I have considered other sets, however the design of these rings is just too perfect for what I was looking for..*sigh*.

Unfortunately, I don''t have an answer for you, but I thought I would post the pic of the ring so that people can see it more easily. My advice would be to look around at as many websites as possible to find a similar looking set. I doubt you will find an absolute exact match, but you could always try the custom route. Good luck.

Thanks for posting the picture for me, for some reason my popup-blocker doesn''t like that option.

I''m actively looking as always (a similar set is obviously within a reasonable acceptance) but thus far, it''s hard to find a set which resembles the design of this one.
Thanks for the bit of hope though! :)

Much appreciated! If anyone else knows, please let me know!

You can always try and get a custom quote from one of the vendors here. Whiteflash has done a great deal of custom work for various PS members. You can search to see pictures and stories.

oh yea you can totally get that set for a good price with GREAT stones. Call Whiteflash.

Thanks. going to contact Whiteflash (per suggestions) and see what I can find out :)

Thanks for the suggestion. browsing the site definately reveals beautiful rings (to say the least) and pricing does seem reasonable from what people have posted.

Any other suggestions are still welcome (as i will do some comparisons if available etc).

:)
