I'm looking for a ruby about 1 carat. I'm okay with heated, but I do not want other treatments.

I found some on this website:

http://www.gemfix.com/ruby.html

I'm looking at the Burma ones that are heated. There are some around 1 carat for under $1,000.

What are your opinions?

Im definately not a Ruby expert, but I really like the Asscher, 1.03ct for $1850. Looks nice, not as "hazy" as most of them. Just my opinion.

Not fussed about shape but budget must be around $1K, right?

Any shape.. hoping to keep it below $1K. I'd love to put the ruby in a halo so something that looks good in a simple halo ring.

Possibilities if I had to buy within the specifications:
533 1.01 ct round but would find out how hazy it is.
524 1.14 ct round if I can swing that added $360.

Well, I jumped and ordered the ruby_533 one. I'll post pictures when it gets here!

Thanks for everyone's help!

Please do post pictures and your review once the ruby arrives. :))

My avatar is a pinkish red spinel from the Mahenge area of Tanzania. Thanks.
