Someone posted a to-die-for pink champagne rectangular radiant diamond in rose gold and it got me to wondering WHERE I could find a nice diamond like this...and how much they typically go for. Anyone know how pricey they are?

For colored diamonds I would check out two places

Diamonds by Lauren: http://diamondsbylauren.com/

Fancy Color Diamonds (Kenny has several gorgeous stones from here): http://www.fancycolordiamond.net/

Good luck hunting. I know both vendors have been used several times for colored dimaonds. I have been searching for a 2 carat yellow diamond cushion cut and both of these vendors are at the top of my list to buy from.

Thank you Sarahbear!

Treasure- In terms of price, here's two aspect to consider.
1) the GIA grade. If the word "pink" is there, it's going to be a costly diamond, nine times out of ten.
If the classification is Faint- or a very light color, the stone might be priced kind of like a white diamond.
If the intensity is "Fancy Light" , "Fancy" or Fancy Intense" and the hue is pure pink we're looking at prices that have prices that are more than many people's houses.
If the hue is modified by brown, it generally slashes the price.

2) the actual color: sometimes a brown diamond has a pinkish hue that is not noted on the GIA report. If that's the case, you might get lucky and find a bargain- but such stones are extremely rare- and many times will be priced according to the way they look( IOW priced a lot higher than a pure brown.
Generally speaking, brown diamonds are among the lowest [priced fancy colored diamonds- many times a fraction the price of colorless diamonds.

I hope this helps!!

Some that are called just plain ol' brown on certs sometimes have a pink hue to them, at least in some lights. If you're really bargain shopping. I have an AVC that's certed by GIA as S/T light brown, and it is a soft peachy color in most lights, like a band-aid, lol. That's not even setting in yet. I think with a rose gold bezel it will make it even pinker in appearance. So, IMO, you can definitely find top browns with a pink aspect- though, of course, the brown is the stronger color. I've seen a few like this. I think top browns can be killer deals and truly beautiful, especially those that tend towards pink, actually.

Most (if not all) of Kenny's colored diamonds are from http://www.fancydiamonds.net/

The one you listed is, I believe, affiliated with Liebish and Co though.

Some of the pinks with orange or brown in them are absolutely gorgeous and much less expensive than pure pinks or purple pinks.

Our latest family portrait.
All of these came from www.fancydiamonds.net aka Leibish & Co.
I've also returned and exchanged a few and Leibish was wonderful and understanding.
I can't recommend Leibish strongly enough.
