Gypsy, I am not sure there would be a budget for the right stone.

I might not be able to do this over the internet either, because I am looking for that special color...one that looks more yellow than brown.

I am trying to decide if this would just be worth a trip to NY.

Well, okay. But we need more than "I'm looking for a yellow/brown" diamond to go on to help you.

We need something that narrows down the 1000s of stones out there to what you want.

No budget-- so a million dollar stone is okay? Give me an outside limit.
What size do you want (and in measurements not in carats).

What is the look you want, if it's based on an image.

It's really hard to read minds in person, let alone over the net. Give us something more to go on.
