I know this is kind of a generic question but what are your all favorite websites ? There are so many out there that it''s hard for me to seperate the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks!
I recently bought a 4.10 round brilliant from Whiteflash and I was very happy with the service, price and beauty of the stone.
My needs were very specific and Lesley looked for a few months before she found one. I was willing to pay more and there were many stones listed but she advised me to wait because in a stone this size it was difficult to find an Ideal cutin the range I wanted. You can see my ring under "show Me the ring"--4.10 Whiteflash Excellent Experience.'
The stone found by Lesley was sent to Whitefflash where Brian, the ACA cutter examined it. He examines every stone. They do not drop ship. I then had it sent to an independent appraiser where I was able to see it. Then it was shipped back to Whiteflash for setting.I did not have to pay anything to Whiteflash until the stone was set and ready for overnight shipping. There are several other vendors on Pricescope where consumers have had excelllent comments.
If you want a large stone, I found that very few vendors have a large selection of them in their inventory.
However they will do a search and find you what you want. Good luck.
Solange has a good point. Depending on the size and specs of the stone you are looking for, you might be best off giving a vendor or two a call and letting them look for one for you. Inventories seem to be fairly low these days. I'd read the websites of the vendors listed above, looking at their policies as well as their stones, and then call a few to see if there is one or more that "feels" right to work with if they don't have just what you are looking for.
