Been working with the wonderful Erica of LAD for several months on a series of ring projects. Wanted to share them in one reveal. I have dubbed them the Little Women in honor of the classic novel of the same name. Individually they are Margaret (Meg), Josephine (Jo), Elizabeth (Beth), and Amy. These are also coincidentally family names and the rings contain either a vintage diamond or a vintage setting so thought this was an excellent way to approach naming them. Below are shots of the four rings together followed by photos and information about each ring.

First up is Meg. She is 1.70 ct GIA M VVS2 Old European Cut Diamond from LAD set in LAD’s “Jeni” setting in 18k yellow gold.

Wow, they are all beautiful! Just stunning! I can’t pick a favorite. Love that they’re vintage.

All absolutely beautiful & the details are exquisite! I would take any of them if offered, but my favourite is Amy.

Can you tell us the stories behind their names?

WOW.

Just wow.

These deserve a thread each!!! Cripes. That is quite the selection of awesomeness you have there!

I'm quite interested in how you chose which name went with which ring!!! How will you ever choose which one you're going to wear??? Are they all as engagement rings or will some be right hand rings? That way you could wear at least two on any given moment!!!

The craftsmanship of each looks amazing. Feeling a bit speechless here!

As I already said - WOW. Spectacular.

Love them all. Meg makes me want to do a rich yellow gold project!

Stunning!! What a treat! Are they all sized for the same finger? I too am curious as to how you will wear them!!

These are wonderful - congratulations! The names are fabulous, too, and so fitting!

My favorite book in the world. I Got them all wrong except Amy. Genius idea. Congratulations!!! Beautiful family just like the Marches.

Wow. They each deserve a thread of their own. Really stunning!

Must have been hard to wait the last few months but the rings are gorgeous!

Pls post as many more pics as you want. :appl:

WOW, every single one of them is just stunning!

I love Little Women, and the names are perfect for your rings! Meg is a classic beauty, Jo is ambitious and brainy, Beth is sweet and lovely (and I actually kind of teared up thinking about her), and Amy is cute and spunky!

Fabulous collection. Each unique in their own way. Enjoy wearing these special beauties.

It’s like the holy grail of projects

Oh that’s lovely! What a gorgeous set and I love your names for them :appl: how did you decide which was which?

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments about my little women! I grew up as one of four sisters so the Marches resonated with me the first time I read the novel as a girl. And of course had the entire set of Madame Alexander dolls as a
result. I tried to match the rings to each sister as I envisioned her personality and what kind of jewelry I thought she might wear. Could have gone many ways but these are the pairings I settled on.

I consider the quartet to be legacy pieces. They are all the same size and for now will be right hand rings for me but will ultimately pass to our next generation of little women. Like many other here, I didn't actually start out to create four rings but one thing led to another (LOL) ....

It was a joy and privilege to work with Erica. I began with a L VVS2 OEC from Alex Park (also a pleasure to deal with) that I wanted set in her Bella halo. With the diamond I also sent her a precision cut blue zircon that I had purchased from Gary Braun of Finewater Gems (he is gem cutter rock star and lovely to work with). Having seen so many gorgeous vintage blue zircon rings posted here I really wanted a vintage setting for this stone. But it is a deep stone at 6.5mm so wasn't sure there would be a vintage setting out there that would work with it. But Erica was able to find one.

Like many here I follow Erica on Instagram. After sending her the stones, a wonderful M VVS2 OEC popped up on her feed. You know where this is headed. I wanted to replace a smaller OEC in yellow gold that I have and this diamond was perfect for this as I had already fallen in love with Erica's Jeni setting. And while I was waiting on all of the projects to finish, I just keep going back and looking at a unique little scallop halo platinum vintage setting that Erica had listed on her site. I'm sure that it would have been gorgeous with a diamond but I just kept envisioning it with a colored stone and was lucky enough to find a true green glowy precision cut tourmaline the right size from GemRite.

I love the idea of jewelry as heirlooms and treasure the ones that have been passed down to me. It's a way to remember those that we love long after they have left us.

THUD, spit on my laptop screen.. TOTALLY GORGEOUS, each and everyone.. I love the designs, I love the stones, wear those and know you have the best.. Thank you so much for posting these fine examples of superior quality and workmanship. I could wax all day. BEAUTIFUL!

OMG all are perfection in their own way. What a gorgeous and unique set of pieces that will definitely be "lifetime" rings that you can pass on. LOVE!

Wow! What an amazing collection of rings. I love each piece and the story of how you came to name them! I know they will be treasured amongst your family for generations to come!

I adore Little Women and I love the thought you have put into the rings. They represent the sisters so well: a classic and refined ring for reliable Meg, a bold and dispersive zircon for brilliant Jo, the spring green color for beloved Beth and the glamorous halo for sophisticated Amy. What wonderful heirloom pieces!

What a haul!! They're all beautiful

What a lovely "family" of rings you have...I love those art deco settings!

Those are sooo beautiful! The Bella is one of my very favorite halo settings! I totally hear you on one project leading to another! lol! I am in the midst of that right now!

I also agree 100% on creating heirlooms that can be passed down to those we love!

Wow. Just wow! I love them all! I hope you can handle havein tho choose which to wear!

I am in awe of your four lovely ladies. They are all gorgeous in their own right-but I think each ring actually evokes the personality you assigned it. Uncanny. Congratulations on such a successful project!
:appl:

I see this thread is from about 9 months ago, but somehow I missed it. Love the rings and the Little Women names!!
