Let's play a game... rainbow gems.

I am going to bend the definition of “red” to post my new serpent ring with its reddish (more brown) garnet cabochon. I may replace the gem but somehow it still has some charm.

Wow! Who made this beauty?! Tell us more about the emeralds, please.

Thanks! DKJ made it for me. He sourced the emeralds. We went back and forth until he found the ones I liked. I sent multiple pictures with the color and clarity I wanted. He sent the top two choices so I could see them in person. Very happy with them.

Is that a hessonite? Love!

I just know “garnet”! But that seems possible from what I’ve read on here about the various types. I’m not the biggest fan of brown but as the image shows it has a nice internal glow. It’s quite abraded though, hence my inclination to replace the gem.

I personally love hessonite because of the rusty tones... so perfect for "autumn!"

True! And my husband says it looks very “witchy” which is of course exactly correct.

I'm a big fan of serpent-themed jewels anyway... I have this gigantic Taxco piece I bought at the Mexico pavilion in Disney. Still haven't worn it. I wish the eyes were rubies or emeralds. It's only sterling though.

Garnet eyes? It’s stunning and I order you to wear it!

If there isn’t a taker for orange, please may I present my yellow - the tiniest yellow diamond set in a Tiffany Elsa Peretti band. I think it’s 0.01ct :mrgreen2:

It’s not visible by anyone other than me, and I love it! It’s the first time I’ve come across this band with a yellow diamond as they’re normally white diamonds.

I haven’t done a lot of research into yellows but from what I can tell, it’s hard to get a truly vibrant yellow, so I’ll happily wear this until I come across a knock-out yellow.

The cut, the colour and the YG is superb!!! Can we have a full hand shot for the full effect?

I love, love Peretti pieces AND I love "secret" gems, which are meant just for the wearer to enjoy. Beautimous!!

FINALLY MY TURN! :lol::lol::lol:

I’ve been trying to grab purple/pink since July and I keep missing it

This is my raspberry sapphire “Mr Darcy”

First of all, nice "pins!" :kiss2: And I just looooove Mr. Darcy. How did you know that I am a Jane Austin fanatic? A Georgian beauty!!

Lavender's raspberry sapphire sort of qualifies as both purple and pink, but we can either do a proper PINK or move right on to RED.

Perfectly imperfect rubies. They are fun to see in different lighting and angles. IMG_8679.jpeg

Ugh I just love that it's a toi et moi and also the scalloped edges. Is there a more appropriate name for that aesthetic in jewelry?

Sorry it’s taken me a while, all my mental energy has been taken up by rubies these last couple of days haha.

I bought it in a Japan preloved store along with a 0.27ct Tiffany six prong engagement ring (it didn’t come with the original cert sadly, so I’ll assume the “worst” that it’s an I VS2. The diamond is also not super ideal but it’s still plenty sparkly!).

Whilst the Tiffany setting is not my favourite (stone set too high), there’s something that makes me smile about getting a very traditional, petite Tiffany set. Especially when the wedding band has a teeny tiny secret yellow diamond!

I think for any true collector of fine jewelry pieces by the major houses, you need to have a Tiffany solitaire. This one looks lovely.

Thank you for your kind words. The stones are both oval, small size difference, and I lack creative bone so the edges are to add some interest. I may reset them down the road but for now I enjoy wearing them every day. I’ve gotten many compliments and one person asked if they are garnets. I just enjoy the fact that it’s an understated piece of jewelry with lots of characters.
