Last question about pink diamond halo!

I''ve been in agony all week trying to decide which setting to choose for my 2.07 RB non-e-ring. I want a pink diamond halo because I love the look even though I know how much more expensive it will cost. I got 4 quotes from different vendors. The problem is, I''m absolutely in love with Leon''s work and if money is not an object I will no doubt go to him to set all my jewelry

For this particular ring, his quote is at least $2000-2500 higher than the other vendors I''ve consulted with.
So my question: Is it worth spending an extra $2K-2.5K for a LM ring?
Does anyone have any quotes on how much a pink diamond pave halo would cost?

Are you sure they are apples to apples comparisons diamond-wise? Maybe Leon is pickier about his pinks and you''ll get a pinker, more vivid halo for your extra dough.

* will the halo part be in pink or white gold (or platinum)?
* who are the other vendors involved?

Kittenkat has one of the nicest pink halos I''ve seen & hers isn''t a Leon -- so it *is* possible to get a nice one elsewhere ... (Hers was Eli Jewelers I think, in LA?? not sure).

Kittenkat has one of the nicest pink halos I''ve seen & hers isn''t a Leon -- so it *is* possible to get a nice one elsewhere ... (Hers was Eli Jewelers I think, in LA?? not sure).

The halo part will be in rose gold and the shank will be in platinum (also with pave white diamonds, half eternity band). The other vendors were WF, this high-end jewelry store that I don''t know the name of, Ingwer, and james allen. I want to keep the vendor local so that I can drop off and pick up. I''m nervous about shipping diamonds around.
I just have a feeling that Leon will produce the most beautiful product and that I should just suck it up and pay the $$$. But being a typical Libra, I can''t make decisions without asking the whole village their opinions

Hmmm. Not familiar with the custom work of three of the four other choices. Whiteflash makes some lovely things but their pave halos aren''t my favorite and I''ve never seen their selection of pink diamonds. (Knowledge only from pictures posted here).

Hopefully others will weigh in.

If you were considering Singlestone or 23rd St. Jewelers or Maytal Hannah .. and THOSE were 2K less ... I might be tempted. But I have a feeling they''d all be on par with Leon or MORE. Leon is usually a pretty fair value for what he''s providing. That''s why my gut instinct is that you''d get what you pay for -- whether its Leon or another vendor. If you''re willing to accept less (as I often am) ... that''s your answer. If you''ll always feel like it shoulda woulda coulda been Leon... new answer.

I think the differnce in price may very well be like deco said. How pink? Are the cheaper vendors using fancy light pinks, and is leon using fancy intense pinks? There''s a big difference between those prices. I''d ask everyone I''m considering how pink the melee is and pics. I''ve seen some "pink" eternity bands where the color looks washed out.

You guys are probably right about the difference in intensity of pink diamonds used. Leon''s pink diamonds (at least the ones I saw IRL) were vivid pink and gorgeous. Not sure about the other vendors because I didn''t get to see their finished products.
