Hi all,
I think I''m going to go with a ritani setting - before I order I have a few questions...

1. Is there a difference between having the store set it or ritani set it? which is the better choice?
2. Should I go with my normal size or should I go up a quarter size to help accommodate for the wedding ring?
3. Any further thoughts on platinum vs. palladium?
4. Any thoughts on a sizing bar vs. 3/4 of the band with pave?

Thank you SO much! I''ve appreciated this site and all of your help so much!

1) I''d have Ritani set it. we''ve seen many examples here of the local stores messing up the prongs etc. when they try to set the stone themselves..

2) My rings were my normal size, ritani''s are so thin, i''d probably go with that but if you go with 3/4 on the e-ring you can easily have it sized if you needed to..

3) I like platinum, but it''s a personal thing. i just like the weight of it and the patina and well, the plat. guild did a good job selling me on it

palladium is still new and although interesting it doesn''t have the generations of use behind it that i''d want for my e-ring, i want to sure it will be something I can pass down to my kids..

4) a sizing bar or 3/4 pave will work. if budget isn''t an issue, i''d probably go for more diamonds and just do the sizing bar...

Thank you, mrssalvo! I''ve been agonizing over this decision - I just found out that a friend refers to me as the ultimate comparison shopper (!) - so I''ve been having issues settling on one! I appreciate your opinions! Now that I''ve settled on the setting I want to hurry and get it ordered!!
