Dear PSers,

I will be undergoing Lasik surgery (intralase) this Thursday to correct my myopia. I''ve had myopia for 24 years and I hope I will be able to achieve perfect vision with no side effects this Thursday. Would you please send some dust please? I am so nervous and excited at the same time.

Good luck! I had PRK 8 years ago (which is much more invasive than what you are having). I hope you have perfect vision soon!

Sending you dust!

I was supposed to have it last week but due to the situation with our finances, I decided to wait a year.

Ooh - TONS of dust, I hope it all goes smoothly and you get full correction

Good luck SimplySplendid!!! I had it done a little over a week ago, and it was one of the best decisions I''ve ever made!

Be sure they give you some sedatives or something after, so you can sleep off a few hours - you''ll wake up feeling great, with perfect vision! I''ll be sending dust your way!

Super duper good luck to you!

******* Dust! *******

Tons of dust to you!!! I did it a few years ago and I''m so glad I did. I also found the procedure realllllly interesting, but that''s because I''m a science/med geek. If you''re freaking out day of, they can give you something to help you get calm.

Thanks ladies!

I co-sleep with my baby and he kicked me in my left eye earlier while he was rolling around in bed. I hope everything is ok and I should be be able to do the Lasik on Thursday morning.

Ouch! I hope you are ok and ***dust*** for your procedure on Thursday! I couldn''t even imagine what it feels like to be able to wake up and see!

oooh, i hope your eye is OK!

Here''s some dust for your LASIK.

I had it done in ''03 and it''s the best!

Thank you Inluv and Chargergrrl,

It''s today and I am getting nervous!

I am so jealous!

Good luck. ****dusting***

Good luck tomorrow! I had it done almost 8 years ago. Definitely get a sedative or sleeping pill for when you get home so you can sleep through the burning that occurs when the numbness wears off.

SS how did your LASIK go? I hope splendidly, and that you''re enjoying your new eyes!

Yes, how did it go? Was it at the Eye Centre?

Hi Ladies,

I had my Lasik yesterday and I could see well. My right eye has perfect vision but my left eye is just slightly myopic, around 75 degrees but I was told it will improve and stabilise. At night, when I look at bright street lamps, I see a fuzz around it. I also see halos around bright lights. I was also told that this is normal after the surgery and will improve in several weeks.

BrownEyedGirl, do you see these fuzz and halos around bright lights at night?

Harriet, I didn''t go to the eye centre, I did mine at Gleneagles.

Did it hurt?

Don''t judge the results this early. Glad everything went well and hope it continues to improve!

Did it hurt?
No.. not at all.. just feel a little pressure on the eye and something watery in the eye, smell a little burning and it was over..

Thank you.. I hope the halos go away. The halos today seemed less intense than yesterday..

***dusting away the halos***

I had it done less than a year ago... the halos took me a few weeks to get used to. I feel like they''ve gona away... or maybe I''ve just adjusted. I noticed it driving at night... but now I really don''t anymore.

I am sure you''ll be the same way... isn''t it cool doing things w/o glasses! YAY!

Missed this. Glad it went smoothly and hope the halos go away quickly!

So glad your lasik went well SS! I''m so jealous!

Hi SS! I''m glad your procedure went well!

I might be seeing a little bit of halos around streetlights, etc. but if I am, then it''s really not been noticeable - I can''t tell if it''s just ordinary halo-like lights around the lamps, or actual halos. Maybe being oblivious is a good thing

I think it does take a few weeks for your vision to completely stabilize though, so here is hope that it''ll be completely better soon!

Do they make you wear goggles when you sleep and shower? I had to for a week....

Thank you everyone, for your dust..I am really starting to believe in PS dust

Thank you Brown Eyed Girl..

I was given eye shields to wear when I sleep, but not when I shower though. I tend to toss my head back when I wash my hair so I think I''ll be alright without them..
