If there is something inscribed on a diamond, does that mean the diamond is cheaper? Also, will it be hard to get a good price if one were to sell a diamond with some inscription on it?

I doubt it impacts the stone negatively. Many times the inscription is the cert number to help identify it, and it generally is not visible to the naked eye, but requires magnification. Every once in a while someone inscribes something sentimental on the stone. Even then it helps identify it and is invisible to the naked eye.

A diamond with a laser inscription is usually a diamond which has been "certified" by a major gem laboratory with the corresponding cert number inscribed.

Both the major gem lab report and laser inscription cost money, so usually these diamonds would cost correspondingly more than a non-laser inscription non-certified diamond.
