Ovaries aren't near enough to your lap.

I've heard that putting the laptop on a pillow on your lap helps the issue a bit. But I think that you'd have to sit around on a day-to-day basis with the laptop on your lap for hours for it to actually have an effect.

Putting it on a pillow will efectively block all the vents, and will not allow for proper cooling. That's a really great way to destroy a laptop. Although the name implies it, a laptop is not meant to be used while in your lap. It's meant to be used on a hard surface such as a table or desk. It needs adequate airflow so it doesn't overheat.

I haven't done any research but the heat + swimmers is a no no. So anything that keeps them cool is a positive step to maintaining fertility.
For women - if our eggs needed to be kept cool they should have been hung in little baggies from our bodies. I can't imagine we need to worry about the extra heat. And if laptops are a no no, then all the heat pads I get though when AF visits explain why I'm not knocked up :knockout: .

I have heard recently that placing your laptop in your lap can affect your fertility, if you are a man. Have you heard anything about this issue? Here are two articles I found on the topic: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/11/11/earlyshow/health/main7044716.shtml and here is another one http://www.usnews.com/science/articles/2010/11/10/laptops-and-infertility-it-matters-how-you-sit.html... If it is effecting males (laptops that is) perhaps it is affecting women as well. Thoughts?
yep, heard that before but don't know if it is true or not... :)
