I have a ring I inherited from my grandmother. I took it to a reputable place. I didn't have them deeply test but they acid tested it and light tested it and said it was lab created and was of the spectrum of a sapphire. In their opinion it was a created Alexandrite. The weird thing is all it's colors are well pigmented, and it turns teal green in the light of morning, it flashes between blue and purple during the day, under electric light at night its candy pink, and in candle light it's definitely ruby red. I've never heard of one turning so many colors.
Has anyone else?
The ring is from the 1970's and most likely purchased in Thailand.
