However, the sheer magnitude of illegal immigration happening in the last four years (I believe it was 6,500 people per day) makes due process for every case, practically speaking, impossible. So we are stuck with everyone who paid to get here. Research this fact.
Yes, it would certainly take a lot of time to give all some level of due process, but we can't ignore a constitutional right, just because it's inconvenient. I know that you said that you would like to see a change to the 5th and 14th Amendments to eliminate those rights for the undocumented, but I would not. The founding fathers knew the English language quite well, and if they meant for those to only apply to citizens, they certainly knew the word. But they chose the word person instead. They had their reasons. I think another Amendment that carves illegal immigrants out of the 5th and 14th would be unlikely to be ratified by 38 states. I know the immigration bill that didn't pass called for the hiring of many more immigration judges. That certainly would help with the process. Maybe some of all those billions for immigration that are in the bill that just passed the senate will be used to hire a large number of immigration judges to speed things up. Not sure though as immigration judges are employees of the DOJ and not Homeland Security and I think those funds are for border security, but I could be wrong.
You say " so many Americans don’t seem to value responsible, law abiding, loyal citizens, instead they doggedly support anyone who can get here!". They are not mutually exclusive. I don't think anyone is saying they don't value law abiding citizens, what they are saying is they also value the protections the Constitution affords. You can value both.
