This topic is intended to pick the debate about color where a recent poll left. For once, at WWW you will find one take of some G-s and a K, all step cut, all nicely set in dangerously white platinum AND in the same picture. While still waiting for a charitable dealer's post of a few colors together, your vote may help!

Since my computer crushed before I had a chance to make the poll Qs, this remains a normal post. The Questions would have been:

#1: Can the K stone be called white?
#2: Does the K belong in platinum?

There has been stronger demand for +G color since white / platinum became popular a few years ago.
K is just too low.

I looked at all the pics and I saw color in the center set stone. I personally wouldn't have wanted lower than H color set in that ring. Most people wouldn't go lower than G, and many would probably prefer F.

I don't see the yellow in this picture (all computers show color differently). But...my original e-ring stone is a K RB. I recently took it from it's yellow gold setting, where the color was not patently obvious and put it in a white gold pendent. It is VERY obvious. It looks fine for my pendent, and it is a sentimental stone, so I don't mind it at all, but it would drive me nuts on my finger. In fact I did have it in my new platinum ring setting before I got my upgrade stone and the color was very "off". (It's a great stone except for the off color, say the experts.....) I think warm stones in that range need to stay in yellow gold -- they can actually be very complimentary.
