Just wanted to share my new rose cut ring I'm having made =)

Hi guys! Just wanted to start a thread to show you the rose cut round diamond I bought and the ring that Grace is making for me! I'm so excited!

One image above is of derbygirl's former ring, one is a random image I found on google.

There will be 8-9 3mm round rose cuts around the center stone, in a flower pattern.

I can't wait to receive this ring!

I'll update with pics when I get the finished product.

NK I think we are project rose cut twins. Grace was looking at rose cut melee for me for a necklace and told me she had another client also looking for 3mm melee. I think we are splitting the same parcel

Anyhow I can't wait to see your ring complete! I think your inspiration ring is stunning and I have done a few custom projects before with Grace. Her attention to detail amazes me all the time. If you weren't already signed with her for this project she would have been my recommendation (or Erica). I just got pictures of the melee loose and they are fabulous so I know your ring is going to be out of this world!

Um, I think I'm going to die and go to heaven. Can Grace hurry up and finish this so we can see?!?!?!?

Are you going to leave it open in the back like that picture, or are you going to foil back it? It looks amazing 'clear'.

I don't think we're foil backing it. I just sent Grace the pictures and left it up to her. I trust her judgement!

I can't wait to receive it! Will definitely update with pics as soon as I receive it!

What kind of necklace are you having made? Did you purchase one of the larger rose cut solitaires, or are you just using melee? Would love to see your necklace when it's completed!

Dang NK I tried to post pictures of the melee but they are not attaching I'll try resizing it a bit but i need to run out the door to take my DS to the doctor. Also sorry for not posting more details about my necklace, I didn't want to threadjack and I was just super excitied for your project! I have been pretty obessed with rose cuts of any kind since JbEG did those thick bezel rings 2 or 3 years ago. Anyhow I'm doing an 18k YG opera length DBTY necklace with the melee, no larger stones- just a pretty straight forward and simple dbty. Besides rose cuts YG is really hitting me hard so I'm killing two birds with one stone.

Oh man, I'm jealous! I loved derbygal's ring and was so sad when she sold it. A dbty with rose cuts is going to be stunning too....man, I need a job so I can support my bling habit!!
