Just in time for Halloween. Black Cats!

So much mystery and superstition surrounds these little love bugs! Thought it'd be fun for those with black cats to show theirs off.

We adopted this guy at the beginning of September. He's 5(ish) months old now and it a total little wild kitty still. His name is Licorice.

A few character traits about him:
He loves carbohydrates. . .eats cake, scones, gold fish crackers, etc.
He lets out little "peeps" when he wants food.
He SITS on top of one of our fish tanks all the time!

Thanks. These were all taken with my phone, so they're not the best of photos. I have an awesome pic of him on top of the fish tank but my son's name is right in the photo so I can't post it. Will get another of him on it. . .he sits on it every night. Hopefully he grows out of the habit before he's too heavy for the glass to support him!

So cute! We had a "marmalade" when I was a kid. My mom worked at a vet clinic and a beautiful orange kitty was hit by a car, someone brought him in, and he ended up being the clinics buddy and I'm not sure the story behind it, but we ended up adopting him.

Love this idea! This is our guy, Oliver. We got him about a month ago. He is a semi-socialized feral cat, but he is beginning to settle in. I love how black he is, he looks so slinky in real life! As you can see, both he and the big guy, Graham, like to invade our laundry folding time (excuse the socks awaiting sorting and the quality, its a cell phone pic).

I love this picture! No wonder black cats get a sinister reputation. They have no faces in pics, just eyes!

What do you guys think of an orange color for a black cat? Too Halloween-y? I'm tempted for Oliver.

We just adopted a tiny black kitten! He's teeny - we got him at 7 weeks. He's 9 weeks now, which means it's impossible to get him to hold still for a picture ... but here's an early shot. I have the sneaking suspicion he's going to grow up to be a plume-y cat, but only time will tell. At the moment, his name is Azrael - it's the only thing he'll respond to. It's a mouthful for a little cat, but Halloween appropriate ....

That's how a lot of my cat pictures turn out. They're not pictures of black cats, but more like the outline of a cat and the actual cat is just the absense of light with two glowing eyes. It's really funny.

I forgot to add that his whiskers are black too!

This is my Pinky. We actually call her our "Halloween Cat" She has more personality than any other cat I've owned. Pinky is very chatty, playful, and growls when someone rings the doorbell!
