Hi to everyone at Pricescope
I have been an avid reader of almost every archived post over the last month as my fiancee and I have submerged ourselves in the murky waters of diamond buying. I very much doubt that anyone I know has gone into as much detail as I have!
Is there some sort of support group for fellas who have accumulated a wealth of knowledge that I don''t need anymore? Or do I just have to keep buying more diamonds? (please say no)
I have just been to Antwerp for the weekend, and armed with the knowledge gained on pricescope I had set up a few appointments which made all the difference. Ended up buying a fabulously beautiful diamond for a great price, and am now having it set. Didn''t buy it though, until I could dash into an internet cafe and plug its dimensions into the Holloway Cut Adviser!
So thanks Garry, if you''re listening, because the HCA said "worth buying if the price is right" and it was! As a fellow Aussie, I trust him implicitly! Interesting though that even though HRD is a great cert, every stone we saw was "very good" proportions but many of them flunked the HCA!
Anyway, to all those of you who posted tips that helped me in the right direction - thanks!
