What is the difference between a Jubilee and a Princess of Hearts diamond?

I have visited GOG, and looked at Princess of Hearts, and asked if they had any Jubilees (they didn''t). I know both are H&A squares, but is there any difference between the two?

Thanks!

I think GOG will be getting some Jubilees soon, at least that''s what I''ve heard. Did you ask GOG what the differences are?

I didn''t research the Jubilee at the time, so I thought it would be significantly different. But now that I looked them up, they are both H&A, so I''m not sure what the difference is, and whether I should be looking at Jubilees as well.

Do Jubilees appear bigger than PoH?

Yes, the Jubilees will face up larger because the average depth of Jubes are in the mid 60s and the average depth of PoHs are in the 70s.

Awesome! What do you think about the light performance? Is light performance sacrificed because the stone is more shallow? Does it have as much fire as a PoH?

I am afraid I am not qualified to answer those questions as I have never seen a PoH in person. What I do know is that the Jubes are top notch sparklers. Definitely a squarish shaped stone with ideal cut RB sparkles.

I looked at both the stones through a H&A scope and it seems to me that the Arrows pattern in the Jubilee is not very clear.

I was considering a Jubilee prior to the debut of the PoH. I like both stones, but I decided on a PoH (I don''t have it yet, so I cannot post pics).

At the time, Jonathan at GOG said there was not a large selection of Jubilees (there was nothing with the specs I was looking for), so that was the major determining factor between the two for me. I could have waited to get a Jubilee since the PoH is deeper, but I didn''t wanna... the PoH I chose is perfect for me.

While I was still deciding and a bit unsure of the new PoH, Jonathan said I couldn''t go wrong with either; they are both beautiful, top performers. Have you seen the videos? In the magnified pics I liked the pattern to the PoH better, but IRL I doubt I would see much difference. Had there been a larger inventory of Jubilees at the time, perhaps I would have gone with the larger spread. But I am very happy with my decision... no regrets.

The difference between a Jubilee and a Princess of Hearts diamond is simple
the POH with perfect Hearts & Arrows, is the only Ideal Square Hearts & Arrows Diamond in
on Earth by AGS & GIA standards,
the definition of the POH
by GIA is = "Cut Corner Square Brilliant" Symm:Excellent - Polish:Excellent
by AGS is = "Cut Corner Square Brilliant" Symm:Ideal - Polish:Ideal
where the Jubilee is certified by G-CAL out of New York a company with no background or history that would make them a credible laboratory to compete with AGS or GIA, in addition the Jubillee is not recognized as a Hearts & Arrows Diamond
in the diamond industry, I haven’t seen one that had perfect hearts & arrows there was always something missing
In reference to spread of both, the POH is 4-7% larger in the spread than the Jubilee
AGS grades the POH depth as Round that gives it an averege depth of 70-71% where if you were to measure it as a Square
Fancy diamond like the Jubillee you would get an average depth of 66%
i have seen a Jubilee when it first came out was certified by GIA with a depth of 75.1% dont get me wrong the Jubilee is a beautiful diamond, but its a step down from the POH
the POH stands with the Hope and the Perfect Round Hearts & Arrows on the top of the Ideal Diamonds in the world in all aspects of Brilliance and Beauty

I mean I hate to rub it in and all; but...

They had a .90 G SI-1 Jubilee show up on 10/26. It wasnt there on the 25th when I went to bed. I happened to log-on on the 26th and low and behold...there it was. First time I think that I have seen one on there since I started looking (6 months or so ago) so of course I had to put down the deposit. I think it had been posted to their site for all of 30 minutes when I snatched it up- didn''t even have all the pics up yet. I just paid it off and it will be here on Friday. They said they will be getting a few more in soon but nothing in this size/ quality...we will see I guess but regardless I couldn''t let this one get away. I had about decided on the fact that I was going to have to settle for the HOF Dream (and hefty price tag) but luckily this popped up. I will try and post some pics once I get it.
